Worst Meal Ever????

Hands down....Marrakesh. Overcooked dried out food, surly, no where to be found waiter and 5 minutes worth of entertainment. This was our second time at this restaurant the first time was great.

We will never go there again.

Ours would be the Garden Grille. The only good thing about it was that it was pretty empty and the character interaction was terrific. I thought the food was nasty and slopped together on a single plate- our server never came back to refill drinks or anything. We did ask for more chicken tenders and mac for the kids and I finally had to find him and tell him forget it because it had taken so long no one wanted them anymore. Blech.

2 out of the 3 times we did Crystal Palace breakfast it was horrible. The first time we went there it was great. We had a late breakfast (10:30 seating) The food was hot and fresh. The characters made it around several times. Other times it was horrible. One time they were rushing the food out. Most of it was half cooked. The cheese potatoes were runny and the potatoes were still hard. There were several things they were out of an not replacing. We were nearly finished with our meal and still had not seen any characters. We had to talk to the CM twice before we saw any and didn't get a chance to see them all.

Oh and I won't say that it's been a worse meal but I have not really been impressed with Chef's Mickeys of late. And now with the price increase I don't think I'll be planning dinner there anytime soon.

That was not "Real Chinese" It was not even good American Chinese. It was just inedible. (Hint to chef... SALT is not a food group, it is not required that all dishes taste like SALT!)

Worst meal ever...Nine Dragons. First full day onsite and we had really high hopes for it. We have taken it off our list for any future visits.

Mitsukoshi Teppanyaki Dining Room ....The food was bland and the service, well lets just say there was no talking and no "show" lots of smiling though! The cook acted like she was paying for the butter and seasoning out of her own pocket and did not want to use it.

We have great Tappanyaki houses here locally so that may have tainted my opinion of the one at WDW, but I would never eat there again.

I agree about Sci-Fi. We had reservations but they were behind and we had to wait about a 1/2 hr for a table. Food just wasn't good enough for the price. We were on DDP, but I still paid for the plan. Service was OK, but not great. Definitely wont be back.

Hollywood and Vine, hands down. The place was filthy and I don't even know what to say about that "food". We loved the desserts though, go figure. Our waiter was just awful, too, seemed to be in his own little world. Want drink refills at H&V? Bring your own!

I can't say we've at our worst meals at WDW (most of those have been in my kitchen) but there are several places we won't go back to for awhile (at least 18 years) Trails End at FW, I swear they serve the left over's from the night befores Hoop Do Do, Crystal Palace, Rose & Crown Pub, Cap'n Jack's and O'Hana's - because they stopped serving the grilled shrimp prawns and replaced it with sausage, that's just insulting!

I know this is borderline blasphemy on the DIS but I'm going to have to say Le Cellier. I believe it was in 2005 and I had a chicken sandwich that was about as moist as cardboard, served on a stale English muffin and slathered in BBQ sauce (which I hate, and was not mentioned on the menu). The waitress never brought refills and appeared only to bring us our bill. I left the place still hungry. We love the soup and pretzel bread, but can't bring ourselves to go back.

San Angel Inn in Mexico...DH and I both ordered steak well done. It took about 45 minutes to get our meal, and the steak could still moo. It's was extra rare. We asked for a manager...Not one would come. We told our waitress we weren't paying for the meal only our beverage that took her 15 minutes to bring. We'll never go back there. We've written a letter to Disney about it since they had a sign that said all beef is cooked to USDA approved tempatures. That steak was not under USDA approved.

I almost always have a good experience with WDW resturants. But I can think of two exceptions to the rule, one at a table service restaurant, and the other at a counter service spot.

I have eaten at the Sci-Fi in the Studios twice, and it was bad both times. The first time the burgers were tough, (as in laying under a heat lamp for a long time) slightly warm, and not worth eating. A couple of years later I decided to give the restaurant a second chance. Our party consisted of four adults and four children. After very slow service, we finally got to order, but when the food came (after a second long wait), two members of our party (myself and my daughter-in-law), were not served at all. We waited and waited, and finally, after everyone else had finished and were ready to leave, our cold burgers and limp fries arrived. The third long wait came when we asked for the check. Poor service and poor food. A real bummer.

I'll not be giving that place a third chance.

The counter service bad experience was at the Pizzafari in the Animal Kingdom. I was enjoying a solo visit to WDW, and after waiting in a long line I ordred a pizza and a beer. When I got to the counter to pick up my meal, the beer keg blew, and there wasn't anyone around who knew how to tap a new keg. The CM kept telling me it would be just a few minutes. After about twenty minutes the keg was finally taped, and I got my beer (with plenty of foam). The pizza, meanwhile, had been sitting on the counter all this time.

Happy to be finally able to eat, I found a table and sat down, only to find that my cold pizza had not been sliced, and in order to eat it I would have to pick up the whole thing and attempt to grab a bite the best way I could. That might have been possible with regular silverware, but trying to manage that pizza with those purple plastic forks made it next to impossible.

Giving it up as not worth the effort, I tossed the "pizza" into the trash can, and drank my beer while standing in line for the 3-D show. As the line moved into the "lobby" area a CM told me I couldn't drink my beer there. Since the doors were not yet open for the show, I ignored him and finshed my beer just as the doors did open (about ten minutes later). I tossed the empty cup into a trash can near the door, smiled at the CM, and enjoyed the bug show.

Yet another poor place to eat in my opinion is at Downtown Disney at a place called The Earl of Sandwich. Most un-Disney place at WDW methinks. In general it's a mess.

captain jacks at DTD> we went for lunch in january. the place was dirty, the bathrooms were dirty, the food....eh...my pasta had no taste, and my DH said the lobster sauce with his pasta tasted like cheese sauce, bad cheese sauce. DH did like the clam chowder though. service was not bad either, but it just wasn't very "disney" to me, just an old dirty fish house. and the hostess barely spoke english which frustrated us to no end....

My worst meal in Disney would have to be 50's Prime Time, March 2006 we had 6 in our party and every single person thought their food was horrible, we have been to 50's many times in the past, but in the past couple years I have felt hte food has gotten progressively worse and the last time being the absolute worst and the service even being horrible, our waitress was almost never to be found for drink refills, we had to chase her down everytime we needed something and she was not into the antics at all! We definitely will not be going back there anytime soon.

Planet Hollywood. We went with my parents. All 4 of us adults and my DD hated our meals. The only one that was happy was DS with chicken fingers and fries.

I think they served us TV dinners at Flying Fish. To be fair, we did have high expectations.
