Worse crowds for 2014: spring break, or a week in the summer?

Our spring break is Mar 30 - Apr 5.

Which will have worse crowds: that week, or a week in June/July?

I've never been in July but I think spring break is very, very busy. Of course if you are planning to go around July 4th then I would think the holiday would be busier.

I've found this to be an excellent week-by-week crowd calendar:

Dave has really done his homework on when schools have spring break as well as when they get out for summer vacation.

:) ... thanks!

My personal experience is that crowd levels are very similar at both these times (non Easter, but busy spring break and high season summer mid June thru July). Given that, I go for spring break for the wonderful weather instead of the hot/humid weather.

I have done both the week before Easter and Mid -July. While yes July is hot, we find the crowds a little better and less RD crowd for sure. Also enjoy the longer park hours.

But keep in mind that the OP is not going the week before Easter. Spring break crowds are absolutely at their peak the 2 weeks surrounding easter. While the other weeks are certainly busy, they are generally much less busy than the middle of summer. The weather is a bit more cooperative, as well.

Let me second that if it hasn't been already. I've always enjoyed Dave's site and I still do. Anytime a first timer decides to go to Disney I send them to Dave's site and usually send anyone looking for crowd calendars there. I prefer the somewhat "set" standard to a place that changes the levels every other day. Helps to give you a could basic idea of how crowds usually flow per year.
