I, too, have three kids who love the parks and the pools. We stayed at SSR in January, and we all loved it! :thumbsup2 We were in the Springs right by the main pool. The kids thought it was great and swam even when it was too cold for me. This resort is beautiful. The rooms are so nice, and it was great to have a laundry and kitchen. It seems like catching buses at the right time is just luck. We were used to the bustling transportation hub at POR, so we did find the service slower. Sometimes we waited 5 minutes for a bus, sometimes 20. Usually it was about 10 or 15 minutes, which seemed like much longer because my boys used that time to torture each other. :furious: Strangely enough my daughter, the youngest, waited patiently and was a pleasure to be with. princess: The good part was that we always got seats on the bus (except for the morning of the DVC Expedition Everest preview, but that's another story). Even so, we will still use buses instead of worrying about a car.

:thumbsup2 Thanks Tinkgirl for the positive post.My kids are very excited to be going in just 6 more weeks!!Cant wait for May now.LOL.I am very much so at a better ease now thanks to all of you!! :thumbsup2

Don't forget the really cool playground in the Padocks. (near the pool, right at the bus stop.) We stayed in the Springs, (good location) but would sometimes stop at the Padocks bus stop (1st one) and play for a while then take the water bring across to the Springs.

We will be there in 5 weeks so I think we will miss each other. Still WDW in May is great. I love the F&G festivel. There is also all these extra set ups for the kids during that time (buterflys, playgrounds, sand digs.....)

we will be in Universal from May 21-27 then at Disney from the 27-June 3
We cant wait!!Thanks for everyones reassurance and help :thumbsup2

No bus problems at all, the longest wait at the resort was 15 minutes, because my slow-poke 4 year old wanted to push her stroller and the MK bus just left. One day at the bus stop, a bus manager was on site at the Congress Park stop, noting the time each bus arrived and left, and waiting for the time reported when the bus reached its desination. I was impressed with his explaining the system and how they track timing.

Even after the 10 pm parade at MK, the wait was short. The wait for DME was also short at the airport. We arrived on 2:30 Sunday and noted on the way home on Saturday around 12:30, we sat near the front and you could hear the buzz from the radio dispatch, the airport waiting time was filling in fast and dispatch was hustling to get buses their, it was load and go! Timing is everything.
