Worried-just got email from csr

We received the email as well. Going November 26th. Stated work being completed between 9 - 5 so I know we will be off resort by that time :)

Room renovations. They usually don't put anyone near them when they are working on them. I've stayed at several resorts with room renovations happening and if I didn't know about I wouldn't have been able to tell unless I saw the supply pods or walked right by them.

Permit filed shows end date of Dec 29th for Building #8, #8A, #9A, #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6A, #6B, #7A, #7B.

That's actually all the buildings at Coronado. I doubt that the entire project will be done on December 29 since it hasn't started yet and involves a complete interior refurb. It's usually a year and a half process. The rumor is that they're going to start in the Ranchos, which would be the six and seven buildings. But it isn't like renovations in a single building deluxe resort. At the moderates, they close one building at a time, so if renovations are going on, you just won't be in that building. You might hear it, and see it, but nobody's gonna be pounding on your ceiling. And you can always ask to be moved to a room in another part of Coronado. We were there in August and love Coronado so much we booked another trip for December, knowing that the room renovations would be starting. It really shouldn't be a problem.

Sorry operating on 1 hour sleep ............:crazy2:

The building numbers I linked were copied from the source's post.
I went direct to permit and pulled the supporting documents.
Their error was it is not 8 and 8A, but rather 8A and 8B.
So all the buildings except for 9B.

What is interesting is the strange order of the buildings is the numbered order of the pages in the permit. Not sure it means anything but I don't know why they wouldn't have them in building number order unless it does mean something.

The permit is for December 2017 finish, sorry I forgot that (seems obvious - but I should have caught it, sleep or no sleep)

Another source close to resort is stating the room renovations are supposed to begin in November.

They also said the fencing being installed around the main pool is supposed to be done mid-November.
Pool is to remain open but may experience some usage interruption.
Quiet Pool fence installations are supposedly done.

BC may be pulling as a separate permit, or they may have other plans. I don't see them shutting down all of 9B unless they can "move" BC temporarily into 9A once that building is done.

Do you think, since I feel like it's very popular, they would expand the number of rooms classified BC?

They could convert one of the buildings now, then close 9B, then reopen it with more capacity without ever losing BC rooms during renovation.

Ah ok. Makes perfect sense now. Sounds like they're going clockwise in order from Cabanas through Casitas to Ranchos.

I could see them turning both 9 buildings BC (although 9A has some parking lot views), or doing a conversion in one of the Casitas buildings so there were two BC buildings -- one near the Convention Center, one over in 9B. I know Preferred is generally over in 1-2-3, but they typically charge slightly more for BC, so maybe make one of those BC as well?

Was at CSR last two weeks, had the pleasure of chatting with a manager (not the GM) who was involved with the upcoming rehab. Was told 13 months for 13 buildings starting in November at Cabanas, to be closed one building at a time.

We are going again in December, haven't got a notice yet about the rehab. No mention of another BC building, but I didn't think to ask either. Quiet pool at the Casitas is fenced already,
did not walk by the Cabanas one though.

Sounds right on point with above info.

I LOVE CSR and can't wait to try the new rooms :goodvibes
