My dalmatian was diagnosed with the same thing a few years back. With good care we were able to keep her comfortable. Her incontinence didn't become really severe until a few months before the end. I know that I probably put up with more than some would, but I couldn't make the decision to put her down because she was incontinent. Minky sounds like he is still comfortable (with the exception of the fall) so I'm sure he will start feeling much better. Good luck!!

Oh, wow! What a great product! I could certainly use that to help me lift Minky.

Minky's mom - I am not a person who buys "gimmicky" things. Not at all. Again - we were really glad we had this in Riley's last month. My boy simply needed to be upstairs at night, and this sling-thing allowed me to get him updstairs. Since MinkyDog is in the 80 pound range - I would get one of these sooner than later. Your back will thank you! Besides - you've got enough going on in your life - you simply cannot afford a back issue.

Now - as far as Minky being a standard poodle - I thought DawnCt had the only standard poodles on the dis...They are definitely magnificent dogs!
