Can somebody tell me where the world's largest McDonald's is located? I'm referring to the one near Disny. How do I get there? And is it worth going to? I have an 11 yr. old and an 8 yr. old.

I can't remember it's exact location, altho we've been there several times--what can I say?? DH does the driving!
Somewhere I may have the address and wil post it tomorrow if I do,

Anyway, it's not something I would make a special trip over to get to. It's a regular MacD's in the front, then, toward the back, there's a pizza place and an ice cream place and maybe one other type of food (?). There were also skee ball machines on this floor.
Of course, each place is a separate charge.

There are a few settings for photo ops around the first floor.

Upstairs is the play place with arcade games. Lots of arcade games= lots of extra money.

I will say that our kids love going there, but, to me, it takes away from my Disney time-lol!

At the junction of Sand Lake Road and International Drive. Just take I-4 from WDW, but I don't recall the exit number.

I wouldn't make a special trip. Maybe it's just me, accustomed to Disney standards, but when we stopped in last December the place had a run-down feel to it. It's not bad, just not as nice as it used to be (or should be). IMHO, of course.

....... I have heard a lot of negative comments about this McDonalds from UK people too.

McDonald's are everywhere, don't waste your time. There are to many far better things to do.

This McDonald's is pretty pricey and has the stench of tacky tourist theming all over it. It has an arcade and a playground, but you can find these things at most theme parks anyway.

I wouldn't bother with it. There are too many other fun places to eat in the WDW area and no matter how large or small it is, it's still only a McDonalds IMO.

Do a search on this board for it and you should come accross a thread that will explain how AWFUL that place is...:(

We happened upon it by accident in October on International Drive.

It was overpriced and dirty.

The only interesting thing was the ladies washroom......I'm not kidding. It had guilded mirrors. It was just plain weird and I took a picture...LOL

I would not go again but.......different strokes for different folks.:p

I cannot stress enough that you should AVOID THIS MCDONALDS AT ALL COSTS!!! It was by far the most dirty, and disgusting McDonalds Ive ever seen!! We went there last trip one day for lunch. I thought that if we were going to do McDonalds on this trip, it might as well be a special McDonalds. It was special all right. Gross!!! The whole place was dirty. And just to give you an idea of their standards....There is a "playground" upstairs. My kids only had on sandals without socks. From previous experience with these indoor playgrounds, I know that socks are required. In fact, this McDonalds had a sign posted that socks WERE required. So, I asked the girl at the cash if I could purchase some socks. She said that they hadn't sold socks for quite a while now, but that the sock rule wasn't really enforced unless the health department was coming!!! I can just imagine what other rules weren't enforced unless the health dept. was coming!
If you want to go to a McDonalds that is kind of neat, try the one near the All Stars resorts. It is quite large, there is a huge movie screen inside, and there was a Disney movie (bugs life i think) playing while we ate. I took a neat picture of the kids outside the restaurant as well.
Sorry this got to be so long...just my 2 cents :)

The Mcdonalds at Sandlake rd & international drive claims to be the biggest. It is a hole! Disney also claims that the one near the All Star resorts, kinda behind Blizzard Beach is the largets in the world. This one is cool. Forget the name of the road but just follw the signs for All Star Resorts.

The claims about it being the largest McD's in the world are outdated. There is a larger one now is RUSSIA of all places! However, it is still the largest in the USA. If your kids really want McD food, try the one in DD and at least you'll be close to other things Disney and won't waste time on the same old, same old food.

I've been to both, and the one in Moscow is definitely bigger and nicer.

If you have the urge to go to McD's in Orlando, the ones at DTD and near AK are much better choices.

There are lots of other McDonald's in the area with cheaper prices for the same food. The good thing about the McD's on Sandlake is that it is open 24 hours.
