Has anyone who has stayed here give me a review? We are Wyndham owners and have stayed at Dolphin's Cove resort twice in the past, but we are trying the Worldmark Anaheim for our trip next year. It's never been available for our dates before! It looks like it's pretty close to the parks, so I was wondering mostly about walking distance to the parks or is driving better? We will have a car. And anything else you can share would be great!

Walk! My husband and I were just discussing this yesterday. We have stayed many times at both resorts. We walk from both, actually. We find driving a car and parking is a hassle and with the changes in ART schedules a few years ago, we find we really dislike the new routes. We absolutely love WM Anaheim, and it's great when we have the whole family, but find we get better bang for our buck, so to speak, at DC. Plus, the remodel at DC has made it much nicer to stay there. Any other questions, feel free to ask.

I've stayed there several times, it's been a few years though as we sold our timeshare. The property is nice, the sales desk was relentlessly annoying, to the point that I unplugged our phone and took it to the front desk manager in order to get my point across. Anyway I'd suggest walking or utilize ART on the way back at night if you're too tired but I wouldn't hassle with driving when you are so close. I felt totally safe making the walk, even did it alone with a 5 year old at midnight.

There was a point for a few years where the sales desk was awful and relentless. We also unplugged our phone. The last two times we were it was not the same as they had made changes. There was a change in structure/management or something. I can't remember the exact verbiage. Not to say it couldn't have changed again in the last year and a half or so.

We have stayed there multiple times and love it! My mom has an injured foot, so we use art to save some steps. We did walk one am when it was mm, because art no longer gets there early enough to make it. Walking distance was not bad, but with all the walking in the day, we use art. I would never drive my car....too much hassle!

We stayed here with my parents who are Worldmark owners. We stayed in a Penthouse that supposedly slept 8, which was the number in our party. I say supposedly because the place was likely bigger than many people's homes as it had 4 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. Glad I wasn't responsible for cleaning all those bathrooms. It was a nice place, though taking an elevator up so many floors gets old.

We walked the first day as it was just our family at the time. The rest of the trip, with my parents and their other grandkids, we used the ART shuttle. It picks up outside the parking garage of the hotel. I wouldn't drive because you would literally be driving across the street to park your car in the Toy Story lot and then have to take a Disney shuttle to the park. Unfortunately the hotel is across the street from the CM parking area of the Toy Story lot and isn't one that you can easily walk to the Toy Story shuttles. The walk to the parks isn't bad, and we've walked from further away, but if you have anyone in your party who has a hard time with walking it would be better to take the ART shuttle.

Glad to hear they've made some changes. Last thing I want on vacation is to get a sales call.

It is a one mile walk. I actually recently posted a poll asking people if they would walk one mile or drive. The results show half and half. Several people posted they would take an Uber or a Taxi. It will take you 20 mins to walk. Going there is easy. Coming back after a really long can be a bit of a dud, unless you are doing other things on your way back like getting some food or hitting up a store. Then, it would be way more convenient to walk.

I stayed there a few years back, timeshare points. we had a WONDERFUL 2 bedroom apt, with all the amenities! I never wanted to go home! I did ignore any phone calls, so no worries there... it was an easy enough walk we always cut through gardenwalk to get to DL..... the room was fantastic! and we could watch fireworks from the rooftop

The only complaint I had about it when I stayed there was that the elevators were inadequate. We waited 20 minutes for one on our last day.

The elevators are slow, but we usually ended up taking the service elevator or the one at the other end by the sales department, depending on where your rooms. Everyone tends to use the main ones so the wait can get lengthy.

Thanks everyone for the responses!! We will probably plan on walking to the parks then for the most part. We have 2 kids but are thinking we will rent a double stroller so just DH and I will suffer through the walking at the end of the night.

I will keep that in mind about the elevators since we will have a stroller. I did see on a couple of reviews that the noise from the street could be an issue on the lower floors so I was thinking of requesting a high floor. But now with this about the elevators, that might not be such a great idea? Anyone have any issues with the noise?

Like I said, we have been there several times and sounds like you probably would not be able to do this, but the one time we had a room, I think on the fourth or fifth floor, we ended up taking the stairs all of the time instead of waiting for the elevator. I think my kids were about 10 and 13 at the time.

I've stayed here quite a few times!

The sales staff can be relentless so unplug your phone. They harass us at check in to make a sales appointment, and we always refuse to do these because we are already Worldmark Owners. I've gotten calls at 7am to schedule appointments, which infuriated me because I was at the parks until 1am the previous evening! I've also had them call when kids were napping in our room, waking them up, riling up my inner-Ursula. Just unplug your phone.

The rooms are nice, no complaints about those, but they can get noisy depending on who your neighbors are, because there are alot of small children staying there. The resort is right on a busy roadway so you might hear some street traffic too.

The elevators are slow because they are so few for a building this size. Expect to spend about 20-30 minutes in the morning and evening waiting for an elevator...or sneak down the stairs to get out the building in 5 minutes.

IF you don't want to go into one of the parks, you can watch fireworks from the rooftop of this timeshare! It also has hot tubs on the roof. If you stay on a weekend or peak holiday period you can also amuse yourself by watching the traffic backed up in all the streets.

The location is about a mile from the parks and I find it walkable. Its also next to the Gardenwalk area, which is basically a mall with an odd mishmash of stores and some great restaurants if you don't want to eat on property. We park our car in the parking garage next door and usually walk to the parks (unless we REALLY go shopping at Downtown Disney, because I'm not carrying a bunch of shopping bags a mile back to my room!). People with mobility issues and small children will probably want to use alternate transportation to the park though (Uber, Cab, ART, etc.).

I'll be staying here again in a few months so I could probably offer a more updated review then.
