Has anyone stayed at the new hotel or at Dolphin's cove? This would apply to Worldmark vacation club owners, but maybe there are some on here. Or if anyone has seen either place that would be helpful as well..
thanks,

Just got back yesterday. Stayed 5 days and loved it. They're a new place so they're working out some kinks, but all in all, great stay.

Glad you had a great time. Could i ask some questions of you then? Which did you stay at? It is sooo many points, did you feel it was worth it to you? What kind of room did you have? We have 5 in our family. How close it to the parks? Is there food around the hotel? What is the pool like?

thanks Robyn

Funny - My wife's name is Robyn (with a y)

Anyway.

1) We stayed at the new Worlmark on Katella. It is nice and new and I felt worth the points.

2) We had a two bedroom w/twin beds in the second bedroom. The unit is not HUGE and the kitchen is small but we didn't care. Plenty of room for us (5 total) 3 kids 3,5, and 8. We didn't hear the nieghbors much at all. The shower curtains are horrible and they know it at the front desk. They said they're working on it. The elevators are always crowded and slow, I wish they would have put another set in.

3) It is within walking distance to the parks about 10 minute (easy) walk. The shuttle bus picks you up right outside the building so it's very easy and inexpensive. Just make sure you know what times the operate. We waited an hour one day not realizing that it didn't come between 1pm-2pm. We walked it on our last day and realized just how easy it was. No farther than walking from Toon-Town to the main entrance. It might be hard with overly-tired kids though. I would get shuttle passes again, but know that the walk isn't that bad at all. In fact we walked out of Disneyland and had dinner across the street at Tony Roma's then walked back. I think it took us ten minutes from there.

4) There is food around about a 2 minute walk. At the Garden Walk mall is Bubba Gumps, Cheesecake Factory, PF Changs, Roys and a couple of others. There's ALOT of stuff within a 5 minute drive though, Red Robin, Tony Roma's, Joe's Crab Shack, Buco de Bepo and tons of inexpensive family restaurants. What I thought was strange is that there really isn't a nice, new grocery store around. The closest is Vons, just down the street, but it looks like it was built in the 50's. There isn't any better stores around, I looked. Oh, make sure you ask at the front desk for any coupons for the restaurants. We got a free appetizer at Bubba Gumps and a VIP seating (didn't need it though).

5) We didn't use the pool but it did look nice. They also have jacuzzi's on the roof, we didn't do that either but we went up to look and it was neat. The game room and exercise room looked great, better that typical Worldmarks.

Did I cover everything? :confused3

jordan I will be keeping an eye out for your report we are going March 1-8th.
What are the pool hours is my big question :)

We haven't tried staying at the new hotel or at Dolphin's cove but we are planning for it this year for our next trip. I heard some TR and they loved it, hopefully it will works for us.

Have a nice day everyone. :)

We stayed at the Dolphin with my dad a year ago. We haven't been to other Woodmarks so nothing to compare it to. However we have stayed at the Hilton Anaheim and I would choose the Dolphin over it any day. They had lots of recreation for my daughter, nice little meals, very clean comfortable rooms and pleasant staff. We loved it and would return again.

Oh and my daughter says she loved the pool. We walked to the shuttle myabe 1/2 a block and there is a Denny's and mini mart near by.

We stayed at the new one in early December. Can't talk about points because our friends gave us their reserved unit when they couldn't go. We had a room with one king bed and bath, a living room and kitchen in the middle then a room with a queen bed and another bath. Two adults and two kids and it worked great. Lots of places to eat close by. We had a rental car tho priceline and free disney parking with some AAA park hoppers so we drove each day, but the shuttle might have been faster. Pool was nice, two hot tubs by the pool. Nice and warm to swim in December.
Kids liked the game room and the staff was great.
