Can anyone suggest a resort in the World Passport Collection, Mexico or Caribbean, that is a good place to go with a 7 year old? In particular, we'd like someplace with some kind of children's program.

The info on the DVC site seems to be very limited. I plan to join TUG, but was hoping someone might have some ideas.

Thanks!

Aruba - Marriott or La Cabana. LCB is a great resort for kids but is not up to DVC standards.
MX Royal resorts in Cancun.
Paradise Village in Puerto Vallarta.

Atlantis if it had not been removed from the DVC list. Costa Linda in Aruba if it's added.

Thank you very much, Dean! My wife had found Paradise Village, I'll go check out these others.

Each resort has it's own pluses and minuses. La Cabana is a large resort with water slides and a lot of kids activities. PV is about 20 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta and there is a lot going on and it's right on the beach. Still, it's out of town so some don't like the location of Nuevo Vallarta. NOTHING will be quite as kid friendly at Disney.

Yeah, we certainly realize that. We need a change, though. After reviewing the comments on TUG, we're focusing on the Royal resorts in Cancun. PV seemed to have alot of negative comments, while almost everyone seems to love the Royals.

I'm planning to put in a request now for any of the Royals, either Presidents' week or Easter week next year. Am I being naive thinking I've got a chance to get in?

Thanks for your help.

It's certainly a tough pull but worth trying for. I'd look for a direct exchange while DVC is looking for you also.
