We're headed to NYC to see a show in another week or so. Is it worthwhile to try and squeeze in a visit to the Disney Store in the theater district ?

If you are going to see a show, you will be right there near Times Square where the store is. HOWEVER...this is no longer a World of Disney Store, it's a regular Disney Store. It is larger than any other that I have been in though, so if you have time and are inclined to, stop on by!

If you're in Times Square, it's kind of hard to miss, even if you wanted to, lol.

It is a regualr Disney Store, but they have a LOT more stuff than I have ever seen at my local store (and it's about 4x the size x 2 floors), and some exclusive NY stuff!

I thought it was worth the trip as I found an Ursula and King Triton Doll for my neice which we have never seen at our store

As much as I love Disney, I am always disappointed with the store. I think I'm looking for a Disney magic fix that it never brings. I do make a point to stop when I am in Times Square though. I wouldn't go out of my way to just go there.

I totally agree, the world of disney store on 5th ave was wdw tied so they did pin trading, had art work, etc. The disney store on times sq is just a disney store and is much smaller than the w.o.d was. Dh and i were super disappointed in! You can get the same stuff pretty much in your local disney store.

I think if you're going to be in the area, then you might as well check it out. We were there just a couple months ago and the kids really enjoyed it. And we were able to get some merchandise exclusive to NYC like a Statue of liberty Minnie whicb is so adorable.

I'll be going to NYC in June, and wondered about the Disney Store. Exclusive items sound cool! Solfan68, if you get a chance to snap a few pictures, please post them. Thanks--and have fun!
