I just seen these on the disneyland website. Can anyone tell me anything about them? Are they worth it? What's the seating like? We'll be in Disneyland December 22-28.
Thanks

Not sure what they are this year, but we got the WOC picnic package last year. My DD had the kid's version and did not like it. My DS and I had the chicken, and well, we were hungry after eating it for dinner. It wasn't alot of food, and all is cold.

You do not get seats with the WOC dinner pass, just a smaller line to run to the front of the wall/fence and stand and wait for the show.

We saw the WOC three times. We had the WOC package with the picnic and with the sit down at the restaurant sticking out into the water. Also just waited in line without a package ticket. I did not see much better places, all had a good view that we were at, but slightly lower number of people fighting for front when having the package ticket. We stood in line at least 1 hour before each time we watched.

It was an awesome show. My kids didn't enjoy it as much as I did.

I have purchased it before and can say it's definitely not worthwhile, unless you can't find a way to get to DCA in the morning on the day you plan to see WOC and thus are unable to get a fastpass. The food is decent quality, I have had the Chicken and the Vegetarian. However, they are lacking in quantity- these are definitely not going to substitute as a meal replacement. As for WOC viewing- I've had better viewing options from the fast pass than the picnic meal.

They're more like snack packs instead of actual meals. The food is decent in quality but not quantity. We had to buy snacks like cotton candy while waiting for the show. That said, you do get tickets to World of Color and can get a good view if you arrive early. If you're looking for a more substantial meal, I'd suggest paying extra and getting the dinner meal at Ariel's Grotto or any of the other locations.

We had the cold chicken meal last year and it was nasty. I didn't eat it at all. I threw the food away. I got good viewing of the show and chopped it up as an entrance fee. If I went to see WOC again I would probably eat at at Ariel's Grotto or Wine Country Trattoria instead of the picnic meal.

I have to agree, the food is horrible!! We bought the chicken last August and it wasn't good at all. This year, we decided to buy the kids meals instead, it was just a smuckers frozen peanut butter sandwich and some other not so great items! To sum it up, we only buy the picnic for the fast pass!!
However, I have to say, I tried Ariels Grotto and thought that was gross too.

Thanks everyone! So you can eat at Ariel's grotto during WOC? Do they give you time to watch it? Or still push through the routine?
Also, do you have to have a fast pass to watch? Does it get as crazy as Fantasmic?

I'm not sure about your first question, but I can answer the second. You must have a fastpass to view the show from the front, as it was designed to be seen. If you don't have a fastpass, you can view from anywhere around the lagoon, but you won't get as good of a show. I really suggest that you get the passes if you can and see the show from the front viewing area - this is the best experience. Also, the crowd control cast members do a very good job of keeping the crowd flowing and pathways open to prevent congestion. I was impressed with how well it was handled.

Have fun :woohoo:

No no. If you book a meal at Ariel's, you eat the meal prior to the show and get a pass that allows you in to the preferred viewing area. Make sure if you book a meal, you book it early enough to still line up for the show at least an hour prior to start time to get a good spot. It is still standing room only - no seating.

We got the picnics in November and were both very pleased with them. They were really good and we were both plenty full from them. I actually didn't even finish mine. We got the adult chicken and the kids pb&j.

I would have to say it does not get crazy like Fantasmic. It is organized like Stevo said. At Fantasmic people line up hours in advance with blankets on the sidewalk and at WOC the preferred viewing area is roped off so people have to have a Fastpass in order to be able to get in. I wouldn't recommend trying to see it outside of the roped off viewing area. I would make sure you have a fastpass. And yes, you can chance it by getting a fastpass first thing in the morning but personally I like to guarantee that I am going to see the show that I went to DL to see and since there is a guaranteed fastpass if you pay for it then to me that would be a better experience than having to wait in yet another line to try and get that fastpass and then they run out. But this is just my personal opinion. Some people are early to rise and at the parks when it opens and can be the first one in line and have no problem with getting the fastpass. I'm just not one of those people.
