https://www.mlssoccer.com/news/your-world-cup-guide-what-to-know-about-all-32-teamsNot planning to watch. I have no clue about any of it.
This is a better choice
Who will be England’s Rob Green this WC against the USA?Being from the UK, I am very excited about the World Cup starting.
I know ‘soccer’ is getting increasingly popular in the USA, are you also looking forward to the World Cup?
USA is my second team so good luck. This is because I visit you for around a month a year, and also support Leeds United here in the U.K.- and we have two fantastic USA players (and a US manager, and part owners, the 49ers, who may buy the whole club soon). Brenden Aaronson and Tyler Adams are both Leeds United boys in the Premier League and both are playing very well indeed so think they will do well for you.
You have a very young, decent team so best of luck.
Unfortunately England are not too good at the moment and peaked a few years ago so I’m not expecting them to do that well.![]()

I live in Nebraska, home of the Husker football team and nothing else. Outside of the small Hispanic community, you won't find many people who watch soccer here. There will be people who will watch the World cup, like people watch the Olympics, but I never hear anyone talk about soccer or see it on the TVs at the bars and restaurants here. I know that it is hard to imagine considering how huge it is where you live, but there are too many other sports here that people watch.Hadn’t seen your thread, nice to see you are such a fan.
I had to laugh at some of the comments- people don’t know anyone who watches football? It’s the most watched sport on earth. Probably around 4 billion people will watch the World Cup Final. The teams in the Premier League are some of the most expensively assembled sports teams in the world and last time I looked Manchester City was the most highly paid sports team in the world.
I think USA will do well and I wouldn‘t be surprised if you beat England. You after all have a couple of the best Leeds United players.
Would love to see the men’s team do well and increase US interest.
You could search soccer bars in Nebraska and be surprised.I live in Nebraska, home of the Husker football team and nothing else. Association football, futbol, fußball, calcio, ˈfo͝otˌbôl, kurat alqadam. What is this soccer of which you speak?

FIFA accuses the west of Hypocrisy.

Sounds like FIFA is getting yelled at by Qatar because the media coverage is not the wonderful Sports Washing coverage the country wanted.
This is not a case of players making a sports event political.
This is the managing organization throwing their players under the political bus.
Whoever that is will probably end up dead.
Jürgen Klopp is one of the most respected managers in the world and said the right thing. He’s German, so his response is sort of in line with the blunt answers they are known for.Whoever that is will probably end up dead.
