This sounds like EXACTLY what I need! I've been significantly overweight for most of my adult life, and my weight combined with having Systemic Lupus has made it so I have usually done WDW from an ECV.

Which was fine in the past, but I am taking my boyfriend for the first time in December. It's really really important to me to be physically fit enough to be able to walk the parks with him for 5 days this time. Which is going to be really seriously buckling down over the next 3 months, and taking my health and fitness seriously. I'd like to lose 35 pounds by my trip on December 1st. I know it's pretty ambitious, but I believe it setting high goals. :)

I'm so thrilled to join this challenge, and look forward to participating and getting to know everybody! princess:

I'm happy for you that you want to get on the healthy lifestyle wagon! You are correct that you have a lofty goal in a short time.

Starting out on your quest I would recommend that you make small goals that you know you can achieve each day.

I find it more enjoyable when there are small things to make me happy. Find a way to make things fun and don't look at this as depriving. Rather, make it an enriching opportunity!

If you want to walt WDW I would suggest you begin with that. Walk. Start out with a distance you know you can achieve. Increase your distances no more than 10% each week so you do not injure yourself. Invest in a good pair of shoes to help support you along the way.

Let us know how you are doing.

Thank you SO much for the support! :) My biggest food problem is portion control, and I am fairly addicted to fast food/buffets. I have the cut those back in a HUGE way. As far as exercise, yes I need to get up and MOVE. I fly a desk for a living and am incredibly out of shape.

I'm leaving tomorrow night to fly to San Francisco for a week, and I know I'll be doing lots of walking while touring the city. My goal is to come home, recupperate for a day or so, but to keep that momentum going and be sure to get out and walk everyday.

I'll most certainly be updating my progress, as well as following everybody elses! :goodvibes
