Debra: I want you to relax......you know you can always come here and express your thoughts and feelings without feeling bad about it. We all chimed in about DOOD's behavior because we all live with it day in and day out. One of the most frustrating things about being the 'woman' of the house is the household responsibilities that come with it! I work part-time at my job, and really the things that I do around the house SHOULD be mine b/c of that.....dh works full time and travels alot. Still doesn't make me happy that people around here can't pick up their socks (and so on!). When it's time for me to take over full time (when Nancy retires) things will need to change around here! I won't be able to do it all.....we'll see what happens then! (I will still have to do it all!)
I am glad you are recovering, but it is a slow recovery! You really had it bad! Did DOOD get sick at all? Seems to be too long for food poisoning, but I guess you never know!
Tandy: Yeah! for the reduced bra size. Now that is something to celebrate! I always lose that last....and gain it first! Frustrating......I have to wear body armour to run....and have the chafing marks to prove it! My LR really did me in. I have been treating the sore skin for a darn week! Our lucky Jeanne, actually had a reduction done! I am not that big.....but do enjoy when I lose it there!
Maria: Have I told you lately how impressed I am with your workouts and weight loss?????
You are doing a fantastic job, and I sense (via the internet!) how much energy you have! You are an inspiration around here! I do think of you every morning I get up at 5 AM! Sending you good vibes!!!!
Vicky: You should be honored! When the trainer sees that you are capable of doing more than those around you! I am glad for your response to your WO partner.....you know it's a complement to be asked to do more! I will dig up the pancake recipe (I think you asked!) they are excellent!
Kim: Hope things are slowing down for you!
Cindy: I hope your birthday dinner was terrific!
Jeanne: When is the third wedding??????
AFM: Well, baseball is in full swing.....I have no time at all lately! Games start next week....all the games are during the week too. That is good and bad, since they will still probably have practice on Saturdays. That's all week!
The team looks really good though.....
I am glad to be getting all my runs in....but increasing the mileage is certainly a double-edged sword. I have been really hungry. The hungry that you HAVE to eat. It's not about will-power.......I am starving! I am really trying to keep to healthy snacks (I LOVE the Fiber Select crackers, BTW), but it's hard. I have kept the 2 pounds off, but not losing anything right now. Frustrating......stupid marathon training! I am just hoping not to gain anything at this point!
I am off today.....I won't get to see much of dh in the next couple weeks, so I took off today since this is the only day he is home. He leaves tomorrow, gets back Friday, and I leave Saturday for my 1/2 marathon (Lehigh Valley). So we will spend the day together today!

Nothing is more frustrating than an injury, especially one where you feel like you can't do anything about it right now. That coupled with all the other stress you have right now...it's no wonder you want chocolate! I want chocolate when everything is going right!
Just keep telling us how you feel, and we will keep supporting you (and anyone else who wants to vent!). You have come so far, I know you don't want to stop now -- but maybe you can take a step back for a couple of days and evaluate? I do not have any medical training or knowledge, so all I can send is
and my best wishes!
I had a loss of 1.65%, and that was enough! I don't expect to do that well this week, but I'm really glad I seem to finally be moving the scale. You are right, I do have alot more energy. Turns out I can handle 6M most days! I am so glad to hear you report about your marathon training, and the hunger you have. It is good for me to get an idea of what I'm trying to get to. I definitely want to lose as much as I can this year, because I can tell it's going to be very hard once I start training for the WDW Full. I'm still committed to doing it in 2012, that's part of what's helped me move up to 6M -- I know I have a long way to go, I hope to eventually be doing 10M each week for my LR. 8 is definitely all I want to handle for right now!
I know one reason dh is open to the idea of me doing the Princess is that he won't worry about me at all -- he knows WDW is my second home, and I am extremely comfortable handling MCO, transportation, etc. He's definitely also thinking about the lower airfare to Orlando than CA, and the free Magic Express.
to Jeanne and Kim!
They walk too slow. We do 3.25 miles in an hour and I don't ever break a sweat. But, it's the only exercise my friends get and I love chatting at 6 am.
I hope to just break even this week. My points are good, so at least I'm healthy! I'm going to try the salmon recipe tonight. My son will just be thrilled, I'm sure! He will eat tortilla crusted tilapia, but that's it on the fish front. Maybe he'll get chicken nuggets or some or junk food tonight?

How did DH do on his interview?
But I was strong and resisted! I had a vitamuffin top, cantaloupe and yogurt for breakfast. I'm having hummus and veggies for lunch with watermelon for dessert, and a babybel and grapes for my snack. I already told him I'm having a LC for dinner (apple cranberry chicken, yum!), and I'll have more fruit for dessert. It's Thursday, and without fail we decide to bail on our planned dinner and get takeout. This way, I have a plan and they can enjoy their junk food. I'm also going to do my best to avoid the processed junk today, even the lower calorie or organic kind. No chips, and no hostess cupcakes! If I manage, I'm treating myself to a caramel truffle ice cream bar at the end of the day. That's my plan, and I'm sticking to it!

Oh my goodness, you are dedicated and a great friend! Did you enjoy running just for the fun of it? I think that's awesome, and it also allows your brain to function differently, so your getting different benefits -- great to do!
to Debra, Kim, Jeanne and Vicky!
I realized that I had to incorporate the exercise into my life somehow because I'd never be a saint when it comes to eating.
... it's an inspiration! And if someone considers it bragging, then you've earned that right! I guess that's the nice thing about our group here, it's so easy to post something and have someone or everyone cheer you on!
) and a little bit of spicy chicken with brown rice. I was actually very proud of myself because I normally just get all the fried stuff and dessert. The scale paid off. I've lost all that I gained and an extra pound to boot! But, I forgot to do my pushups last night.
