You said AKV rental so I assume you mean the DVC portion. There's no daily mousekeeping (only on set days, I believe 2x per week) and tipping is not expected.

What would you tip for 11 nights at DVC??? We have a studio.

Personally, and I might get flamed for this but I wouldn't tip. We have DVC and we don't tip mousekeeping. Just my opinion.

I was just going to say that over on the DVC boards, many don't tip. It's not a "tipped position" so it seems that 1/2 tip and 1/2 don't.

That said, between dd3 and ds1 making a little bit of a mess I always feel bad when leaving so I do tip. In a studio with your ages, I'd probably only leave about $10-$15 total, dh would probably not want to leave anything. In a 1br for 11 nights I'd probably leave $25-$30.

Just a tip, I read in someone PTR that they put $xxx on a Disney Gift card and used that for souvies/extra spending money. Just a thought.

I'd say for a family of 4...at least $200 a day. Depending on what souvie catches your eyes, you could easily spend that amount on ONE item. I would set an amount aside now for how much each person can spend on souvies...that could be the most costly part of your trip if you don't.

I'd tip at the end if you leave a mess. The amount of nights is irrelevant. Whatever you are comfortable with. You'll only get:

day 4 ~ full cleaning
day 8 ~ trash & towels

and then they'll clean the room when you leave. So don't forget to keep those towels hung up!
