Working for the Mouse

OK, I'm not sure where to ask this question, so Mods please move if I'm not in the right spot.

I was wondering if anyone knows if Disney ever hires virtual or telecommuting CMs? I would LOVE to work for Disney, but live in New Jersey and am primarily a stay-at-home mom. I'm at the point though where I'm ready, and our children are old enough, for me to do some work, but they are still young enough that I'd like to work from home. (I do some recruiting work from home now, and would probably continue that as well.)

My dream job would be some kind of virtual CM. Do the folks who make ADRs and work for CRO work in an office building, or has Disney started to utilize telecommuting resources? I know a lot of companies have moved in that direction, but I don't know if Disney is there yet.

Any thoughts or advice would be very much appreciated!!

I'm not aware of any telecommuting opportunities. I do know that CRO is in an established bricks and mortar building. Not sure of all the locations--but I think there is one in Tampa as well as one in Orlando that my friend worked at briefly (She commuted from where we live and it was too much of a strain to fulfill her dream of working with the mouse). The Orlando location isn't even on the WDW property.

Maybe one day they will be though. That would be a cool gig.

I am a WDW employee....you can be a seasonal worker where you only have to work x amounts of weeks a year ( think its 6) or you might want to look into becoming a recruiter (recruit on college campuses).

Ther eare some divisions of the Disney Company in NYC, but unles you've got various professional skills it's not going to be worth the commute. The Disney Store on 5th Avenue is still owed by Disney, but you'd spend more on your commute than you'd make.

My DVC guide telecommutes, but she lives in Florida. I don't know if she has to live there though.

I'd love to do that too. I can't take Florida in the summers, but I'd love to work for Disney.
