Work gift exchange

Well to me presentation for cheap gifts is everything. Take a look at Pinterest.
I did a bouquet once with scratch offs. Chocolate and little liquor bottles (so omit those). Cheap vase from dollar store made it easy. Some assembly time but it was well received.

Dressing up a 6 pack of gourmet soda to look like reindeer is also cute. Pipe cleaners google eyes and Pom Pom nose required

You will never please everyone but at least looks like You put effort forth lol

Is it an office of mostly women? I was just looking at a Bagnet I might get for our family gift exchange. It's a strong magnet that you attach to your purse and if there isn't a hook in a bathroom stall, you stick the magnet to the door/wall of the stall. I don't know how many times I have had to put my purse on my lap, or I have seriously done what they show in the video - used my teeth to hold my bag. This thing is a game changer.
If it's co-ed, I like the idea of a board/card game. Our family still has game nights occasionally and we love new games.

This has to be the best insulated travel mug there is. After reading the reviews for about 15 different travel mugs, all which leaked or had some other problem, I came across it when someone was reviewing a different mug and mentioned nothing works like the patented AUTOSEAL button feature on this mug which makes it spill-proof and leak-proof, while drinking or while traveling. (It also has a travel lock switch.)

I LOVE my Contigo AutoSeal travel mug. I even use it when I'm typing on my computer. No more accidental spills in my lap or on the PC. As soon as I let go of the button, it's sealed! :thumbsup2 And I've tossed it in my bag and dug it out upside down and there were no leaks.

At Amazon, the reviews are up to almost 20,000 reviews. It was also on sale this past week at Target. It usually runs between $13 - $19.

I really prefer the White Elephant style exchanges, as I have some good 'evil' gifts..... pirate:

One of the most popular gifts I have ever seen in an exchange was a fruitcake from a well known bakery. I thought it would be a dud but it was THE gift that year.

Thank you for this ideas. I don't really know these people all that well but they all seem to drink coffee and we do have a Keurig. So maybe a k-cup pack and and a mug would work.

I just saw really cute k-cup packs last night it was donut shop brand and it was a variety gift pack for Christmas. It was cute.

When I was working, gift baskets were always on top, at the gift exchanges. These are all gifts baskets that I made or have given as gifts.

Olive oil, some dried herbs, and/or seasoning.

Dry Dip mix's with some fancy crackers

Pretzel kits with the chocolate and sprinkles

Christmas holiday hand towels and holiday soap dispenser.

Christmas kitchen towels with cookie cutters, and/or measuring spoons and cups.

Ice cream cones, with toppings...

Travel mug with coffee and/or tea...

Home Goods, Marshall's, TJ Max, Dollar tree, Tuesday Mornings, are where I would pick up these items, You can add in some pretty napkins, loose candy canes, or other Christmas candy, to fill in the baskets... Add some ribbon or bow to the basket all done...

Where did you see this? Was it in the coffee isle or with the Christmas gift packs?

I think it was in kohl's over by the kurig machines and other small appliances.

google "donut shop christmas gift pack" and it comes up on Kurigs website.

Target might have them too. I saw them recently too.

I got my coworker one of those oil diffusers for $25 limit. On the sign up, she mentioned she wanted something that smells good. Scents are pretty personal, so I was kind of stumped. Plus she suffers from migraines! So I googled scents to help with migraines, and was lucky to find a diffuser on amazon that came with two scents that are supposed to help with migraines. I hope she likes it! Otherwise, I think it's a nice regiftable item as well.

How about a nice unisex pocket diary? A leather or faux leather in a neutral color (brown, black, tan). Or a pocket address book in the same color/ leather? Or, if the limit permits, a matching set of diary and address book.

We may be a little odd, but here are some of the more popular gifts at our exchange the last few years:

A cookie jar shaped like a Llama accompanied by Llama themed hand towels
A toilet light
one of those Christmas light projectors
Food storage bowls
A set of Pioneer Woman measuring bowls

Did "good gift" white elephant exchanges with (not my side of) family for years and the gifts were so bad we all just started bringing something strange we wanted and no one else would want ... ours was actually a steal and keep after three steals game.

BUT I love to come to yours if I could leave with llamas!!!

Actually all your gifts listed are desirable.

Yeah, I thought a couple of ladies were going to fight over those llamas, they were seriously cute. We freeze after 2 steals.

Of course, the lady who had the highest number and got to choose last, stole back the gift she brought.

You know, reading this thread and the back-and-forth about gift cards reminded me of something my friend said recently. He said that gift cards are such a strange concept. We trade money that can be used anywhere for money that can only be used in a certain location. It's like, what is the value in that? It really makes no sense at all.

That said, you can send any unwanted Disney gift cards to me. :D

This is the one my DH is giving. Also buying at Costco - he's going to keep one and give one :)

I saw this coffee set today at Kohls, too. It sounds great and the price was right; had we not already purchased a set at Aldi's ($6.99), I would have picked this up to go with the mug.

We have a local money guy in Atlanta (Clark Howard) that advises against gift cards...not only can the money only be used some places, but it potentially expires if the company goes out of business.
He does say it is okay to get gift cards if you get a discount.

For me, if someone just gave me cash as a gift, I am going to be more likely to just piddle it away at the drive-thru or whatever, but a gift card I am more likely to go actually buy something for myself.
