Word of caution, save your Dining Plan receipts

Yep - we got charged for 11 lemonades instead of 1 at MGM on our trip!
That's a good reason to check your slip each time you order - you can get a mistake corrected immediately. We discovered that the person count is the key indicator as well as the remaining balance.
We had a TS receipt come back to us with a zero balance when it should have been 2 remaining. The CM told us he could not fix it as he had charged us correctly, but that we should have the resort go over the plan. The concierge very easily caught the mistake - Boma charged us at the time of the meal and then their night audit charged us again (incorrectly).
It was interesting that the CM had no interest in seeing any of my receipts :confused3 saying that there was really no way that he could tell if it was my most recent one, and that the print out of the account was the best way for him to check.

Thanks for the heads up! I never would have thought to check my receipts for snacks and cs and probably would have pitched them. :)

Great tip! I will make sure to check them after every meal/snack and save them in my backpack! This is something I hadn't even thought of! Thanks!

we had an issue like that at Ohanas. my father and mother had thier own cards and my family had our cards. when the time came to ring up the bill we told him that we had two seperate cards. my father and DH had also had a few drinks while waiting, so we had to pay for those as well. when the waiter brought back the reciept for my dad to sign he told him that he had no more credits on his dining plan and that he just went ahead and charged my dads credit card for his and my mothers meal. my dad just told him ok, but I told him that as soon as we got back to the hotel he needed to go to the guest services desk because we had eaten together all week and he had the credits left on his card. When he got back the girl at the desk said that it happens all the time. WCC had charged my parents for 4 credits instead of just two. it all worked out though and the money was refunded to my fathers credit card :)
