I've been to Disney World 8 or 9 times, the majority of which were spent on site, at the Contemporary, or the Caribean (sp?) The most recent time was in 2004, when my whole family went, all 17 of us. You should see the faces of people when we all try to board a ride at the same time... seems like the only time that worked out was with the tommorowland transit authority!
Now, my fiance on the other hand, has never been. She even once told me "I don't see the point of going to WDW..." and procedued to complain about the prices for the flight, the food, the hotel, etc. etc. etc. and said she could get a season pass for six flags and get the same thing.
I tried to explain the difference between six flags and Disney, but it fell on deaf ears. Sadly, I thought my days of going were limited, and I'd never be able to take my family there.
Imagine my surprise when she said "I'm getting a big bonus this year.... want to go to disney world?"
WOO HOO!
She put me in charge of planning. She wanted a quick little 5 night, 4 day trip. She got a 8 night, 9 day vacation! Even she is excited about it.
We told the boys, (her two young sons) who can't wait: all they want to do is talk about Disney, and I happily do so. I bought them the "Disneyland Fun" sing along dvd, a little trick my family has been doing for years to kind of give the younger kids an introduction to WDW, and we frequently get on the internet to look at rides.
Just SO excited... seriously doing the happy dance over here!
