***Woohoo, Pirates of the Caribbean 3 is Out!***

We are off tomorrow at 3:10 it's DD's communion day and this is what she wants to do afterwards :)

I booked today for Saturday night. I can't wait!

Did you hear Keith Richards comments on the Steve Wright show, he said he never thought he'd ever work for Walt Disney! Got my tickets for next Thursday 31st for the deluxe cinema, its Glen's 14th birthday, he doesn't know yet, he's been pestering me to take him (not that I need pestering!) but I'm going to put the tickets in his birthday card if I can get through the week without telling him. DH and Ashley staying at home, Ash doesn't understand the films and he was bored through the last one so DH offered to stay with him so I can drool over Capt Jack in peace.

Just got back - really enjoyed it. As usual, hardly anyone waited until the end of the credits, but it's more important than ever this time. :thumbsup2

Yes great film - really enjoyed it - Johnny and Orlando as gorgeous as ever

That was amazing - I was grinning from ear to ear the whole way through I was so happy to be watching it.

The characters were great, the acting was superb (Johnny Depp was at an all time high with Captain Jack this time), the story had lots of twists and turns which built really well to some amazing action and there were lots of bits from the ride, one bit which had me almost wetting mysef with excitement and wanting to shout 'this is from the ride', but I didn't!

I didn't stay past the credits as I needed the loo - an excuse to go back again! I really loved it and after the bitter disappointment of Spider-Man 3 it was nice to watch a film that exceeded my expectations. Can't wait for the DVD - I want a 4 disc set with 20 hours of extras!

OK - BIG SPOILER ALERT UPCOMING!

I'll post in white as intructed by Little Matt - don't highlight if you don't want to know. Don't look too closely, either because it's not completely invisible!

At the end of the film, Will Turner is destined to be Captain of The Flying Dutchman (10 years at sea, 1 day on land) for all eternity, delivering the souls of those who die at sea to the afterworld - a fate bestowed upon him as the person who stabbed Davy Jones' heart. Following their impromptu wedding during the final battle, he spends one night of passion with Elizabeth.

After the end credits, there is a scene, 10 years later where Elizabeth and a 10 year old boy walk to the edge of a windswept cliff and look out to sea as Will returns.

Just got back myself. And while i give it 5 stars, it coulda been a lot better.

Thanks for that Deb, I'll make sure we stay till the very end :thumbsup2 I can't wait to see it :)

We saw it last night and I thought it was absolutely brilliant!!! Best of the three by far! Discussing points involving spoilers below so going white! :D

Scott thought the extra scene after the vredits but I disagree. I think it's trying to show that just because Davy Jones ended up a broken man because of his "job", it doesn't have to be that way. Davy Jones says earlier that for the first 10 years he did his job, then when he came back to land his love wasn't there so he became the cruel person he was in the films. I think it was trying to show that this time around it would be different because Elizabeth WAS there for Will. Am I reading too much into this???

I think we are going to see it again on Monday, can't wait!

Hope everyone has been enjoying it.

We watched COTBP and half of DMC last night, which has really go us in the mood for this afternoon - we may watch the rest of DMC this morning (too tired last night) if we get time. I am very very excited to say the very least.
Anyone else going to see it today?pirate: pirate:
