I am not going to put my baubles on it for a day or two though as I want to make sure they are going to leave it alone. Will post some pics as and when I finish. ::yes::

Yep, Nat did very well today, and I'm pleased to say that she didn't spend too long in Primark either ;)

At last.

Our new 7 foot tree with new LED lights is up. It's 02:10 as I write and we've finally finished. Pictures to follow soon.

Goodnight !!

David

I was wondering why Christmas trees are put up so early, in the U.K.? Is it tradition from a societal stand point, or merely a personal choice? I am wondering, because in the U.S. the average person puts their tree up in December, while others will put it up during the latter part of November. Some people will wait until Christmas Eve, or Christmas Day, to do so. I cannot stand the thought of waiting that long!

As much as I love Christmas, I especially love Halloween! :) ( No one hurt me please! ;) he he! Seriously! )

In the UK the majority of people put their tree up in December (usually in the first or second week) - however on this thread we are all crazy about christmas and can not wait that long!!! :santa: :santa: :santa:

Personally I never have my tree up this early but I will be in Orlando for 17 nights in December and therefore decided to put mine up so that I haven't got a mad rush in a few weeks time when I have to pack and do all the last minute christmas things before I go. Also it has got me in the christmas mood, ready for all the christmas decorations in WDW. :)

I haven't done any wrapping yet either Nat - the spare room is just full of boxes & carrier bags of stuff. I need to have a good sort through it all this week.
