I'm fed up - my new crimbo tree that was delivered this afternoon is naff. It looked so thread bare, so is now packed back in its box and going back for a refund.....back to square one! :headache:

Mmm, your cake looks delish Jill :thumbsup2

I love Christmas Cake, but I never buy it as no-one else eats it at home, and I'd polish it all off in no time ;)

Oh no! Hope you manage to get it sorted.

That cake looks yummy Jill. :thumbsup2 Neither me or my hubby eat fruit cake but your photo just bought back memories of when I was a little girl, I used to help my mum make the christmas cake every year. Just before we put the mixture in the cake tin the whole family would take turns and stir it once whilst making a wish. :goodvibes

So did we! It was a relly big family tradition as my Mum & Dad made the cakes during October half term. We also had to shout up the chimney on Christmas eve before we went to bed and myself, my brothers and sisters were still doing this in our 20's - infact right up to leaving home to get married! :rotfl:

I now make my dd's do this. :thumbsup2 :santa:

Jill that cake looks lovely :goodvibes
