Woody's Lunch Box (Toy Story Land) Full Menu + Prices

See that's the beauty of regional cooking. To me a pasta salad can have a lot of different veggies in it but canned green olive slices are not an addition I can recall seeing.
As for the Monte Cristo I'm positive I've only had a savory version so I'm learning something new. Guess it's found with jam in the South?
I was curious so looked up on internet and many recipes, including on Food Network, suggest serving with some kind of berry jam

The jam is usually served on the side to dip though so its possible the savory version the pp was mentioning just did not use the dip. Also, a monte cristo should be battered and fried—this is just a grilled ham and cheese.

I have to say, every item on this menu seemed “meh” to me. Very unambitious. Deli meat sandwiches, tater tots and pop tarts are things my family eats at home when we don’t have time for a real home cooked meal. No way am I paying to eat them on vacation.

This monte cristo is battered, just not deep fried. It's dipped in french toast batter.

I was excited for something new but I have to admit, this one is not going on the list. Maybe it's the basic white bread...I mean, I totally get the "lunchbox"/kids' lunch theme tie-in but meh. If my kids were dying to try it, I MIGHT go for the brisket and just eat it open-faced.

I'm not doubting that you can find recipes that include berry jam served on the side just that's not the norm in NYC anymore than the powdered sugar dusting some recipes call for. Since I did a bit o' research myself (;))I'm finding that many original recipes called for red currant jelly which back then was normally a tart condiment. And yes it's frequently made with "French toasted" type of bread and sometimes it is actually deep fried.

Bottom line? I think this poster expressed my overall thoughts best:

Oh but during the Zombie Apocalypse I'd give a tryo to the tomato basil soup, LOL.

The tater tot and corn chips concoction looks like something Chef TJ whipped up for one of the "treasured guests" that stalk him all over WDW.

AND of course the Alien Sipper cup with miraculously sell out within minutes of opening ONLY to be sold on Ebay for 5X's the purchase price!

Because it is a normal add on for sandwiches?

I'm glad there is Swiss on it. And if you don't like cheese, request that they don't put it on.

I hope they can take the pickle off the BBQ brisket sandwich...I find it hit or miss at Disney which places let you make modifications and such.

I think the menu looks great and I'm super excite to try it! Whenever that may be. I could see myself eating there for breakfast and lunch/dinner there a couple times, too many good options there for me to pick just one.

I'd take the tomato basil soup and they could keep the double starches even if there are veggies (olives, celery and red peppers?) in the mac salad.
The frosted pop tart thingies picture are making me feel a tad woozy but then not a fan of them straight from the super market either.
No idea why raspberry jam is included on the Monte Cristo
Oh yeah, right...smores for breakfast that make good sense .

Raspberry jam is the ONLY way to eat a MC. YUM!!! (Midwest here..)

It says there is swiss on it. Which brings me to the rant: why does everyone feel the need to put cheese on like, everything? :crazy2:
Oh too bad. One article I read did not mention cheese. Not worth waiting in line. Can't Mobil order if there is a special request. Ham & cheese is normal. Everything & cheese is just annoying. Add that to no wine and I see no reason for me to try this

Isn't the turkey a cold sandwich? Can't you simply take the slice of cheese off?
