Is it an allergy issue? I'm surprised the mobile order doesn't allow for basic modifications like that. That sucks.

Based on the pictures on the first page, all the sandwiches are melts and the cheese is melted onto the griddled sourdough.
According to most reports mobile ordering doesn't allow for any modifications based on allergy or preference. I haven't tried it myself yet though.

It says there is swiss on it. Which brings me to the rant: why does everyone feel the need to put cheese on like, everything?

Mobile ordering does offer some meager modifications depending on the restaurant/item. A Cosmic Rays you can order the cheeseburger and bacon cheeseburger without cheese via mobile ordering (you can also add cheese sauce as a side), however you cannot specify that it is an allergy reason so that they are more careful and don't just give you a cheeseburger that they scraped the cheese off of. At Pecos bills you can get the cheese removed from the bacon cheese burger and add guacamole or extra bacon (but cannot remove bacon altogether), but again you cannot specify that it is for an allergy, it is a really odd system that makes no sense.

This is the one I was thinking of. The other is a breakfast sandwich with eggs, turkey and cheese, and THAT one is melted. I didn't understand why the poster couldn't just take the cheese off the cold sandwich, but this one doesn't even have cheese. So, I guess that person was talking about the breakfast melt...

I love grilled cheese, so I am actually looking forward to the grilled three cheese sandwich. As far as the toaster pastries, I will try just about anything filled with chocolate hazelnut
I do wish they would serve the smores sandwich and the yogurt parfaits all day.

I wish they would serve the smore sandwich for dessert during lunch or dinner and drop it at breakfast; guess I'm old fashioned that way.
I can see the yougurt parfait being served all day but w/o the probably sweetened chocolate topping in the morning.

Although they do allow some modifications, they do not allow allergy orders through mobile order.

I've not had the pleasure of using mobile ordering. I have celiac and can't have gluten. And, honestly, it seems like a safety issue to me. With allergies, you are better safe than sorry.

Did anyone else envision the Monte Cristo from Cafe Orleans in DL upon reading it above? LOL.

Guess my imagination is a bit ambitious for a WDW QS. Still exciting!

We just had the Monte Cristo at Blue Bayou this past Monday and that’s exactly where my mind went haha. That would be awesome!
