HUH! I don't understand the above comment????:confused3

Well, as stated previously...I do enjoy me a good Cadbury egg...but I'll eat the egg and leave the chocolate shell! :thumbsup2
I know it's chocolate and all but I think I'll draw the line at that :rotfl2: Now if it was one of my DD's no problem you can't waste it can you :rotfl2:

Several years ago, I was watching Montel Williams…you know, back when it was reeeeal good! :thumbsup2 He had on this set of twins that were separated at birth! (You let me know if you remember this episode) Well, these twins were separated and adopted at birth by two different families. Neither one of them knew they had a twin, until one twin started researching her biological family. That’s when they discovered that they had a long lost identical twin. They set up a meet! Before they met, they each went out and bought their newly found twin a present. Well, they get to the meet, and after hugs and tears they exchange gifts. And, GUESS WHAT! They got each other the same exact present…some magnet that had a sweet poem about sisters…WHAT ARE THE ODDS OF THEM DOING THAT?!?

Well, keep reading… ;)

Okay, so we have our days planned. We know when we’re gonna be there. We basically know what days will be spent at what parks. But, we need to plan the oh so most important thing for our trip…WHERE WE’LL BE GETTING OUR GRUB ON! Did I tell you that Tera and I like to eat?!? (Please refer to the above long list of cookies and sweets)

So, I had the perfect gift idea for Christmas. It was nearing holiday time and we needed to get on the planning. Tera had hunted down a tool that was absolutely necessary for planning…while on the DIS of course! It was the…Passporter!!!!!!!!! Dude, if you don’t have one…invest. It’s like the Disney ultimate planning showdown. Soooo worth it. Anywho, she wanted one soooooo bad! And, so did I frankly. But, I take care of my girl first! I’d get mine later after all! So, what did I do? I placed me an order to put a smile on my girl’s face. I got her one!!!! I got her the coveted Disney Holy Planning Guide!!! I got her El Passporto! I also got her some other Disney planning guide…I think Birnbaum’s or something like that. I don’t even remember…I just used it to supplement the already too wonderful Passporter!

And, get this! I made this a dual gift…to both Tera and Dam! I wrapped them up and put: “To Tera and Damian” right on the outside of the gift! Mwahahahaha! I totally knew they were only for Tera…but kill two birds with one stone, right??? After all, Dam was coming on the trip…and he will be benefiting from our obsessive planning! :upsidedow

The planners arrived in the mail and I drooled over them. I touched them, and secretly opened up that other planner! The Passporter arrived shrink-wrapped…it’s as if the packer knew I would jack it up by lookin’ in it! I was sooooo jealous that Tera was gonna have one and I wouldn’t!

Well, Tera, Dam, and genius girl would be coming in to town for Christmas. And, we had planned a day to plan our ADR’s and such! But, we were gonna be doing this the day BEFORE Christmas. Hmmmmmmm! We needed that Passporter to plan, right??? So, I told Tera…in an ever so subtle hint…that I ermmmmm…needed to give her her gift on the day that we were doing our planning! And, you know what she said??? :rolleyes1

Tera: Yea, I’m gonna give you yours early too! It will come in handy when we get together to plan on Saturday!
Me: Uhhhhh…WTH????
Tera: Yea, I need to give you your gift early…we can use it when we plan!
Me: Well, your gift is needed for when we plan!
Tera: Ermmmm…did you get yourself one of what you got for me so we could plan?
Me: No…but…did you get yourself one of what you got for me so we could plan?
Tera: Noooooo….

I was having a panic attack!!! Did Jennifer really not buy herself one of the things we so desperately needed for planning our feeding frenzy?

That is just not like her…usually if she likes something she is not patient and just gets it for herself. This has always made gift shopping for her extremely difficult. I thought for the first time I had a gift that was not only useful, but it would make her smile…..and squeal in delight!!!

So, I prayed to the Disney gods that she had not just tried to save my feelings and really did not buy herself that gift she had gotten me (are you keeping up?)…and I wrap up her gifts. She is getting the El Passporto and a joint gift with the enforcer to go to Build-A-Bear. At least if she bought her own Disney Holy Grail she will still get to enjoy the BAB fun….I hope???

This time as I trek across Texas I have the whole family in tow. Have I mentioned that my DBIL lives with us? Oh, he is a delight!!! A twenty-something kid…who is in an extended adolescence. So, the four of us cram into my tiny Nissan Sentra…filled to the gills with presents and luggage. Thanks goodness on the cookie baking trip I took most of the gifts and stuff from Santa!!! But, still it is five hours of us stuck uncomfortably in a car together!!! This is the first trip with all of us since I traded in my Honda Odessey. Oh, this makes me weep!!
13.gif
I was in love with my van….so what that I only have one kid…I am a minivan mom!!! It has been my dream car since high school…I do not say this in jest…I wanted one sooo bad. But, my journey to school everyday is quite a distance from our new home and my sacrifice was to get a more fuel efficient vehicle, as I was spending $80 a week in gas!! So, now I can spend $25 a week on fuel and have to sit uncomfortably for trips….but, the sacrifice has been worth it!! Anywho…enough with the pity party and back to the show!!!

Okay…it’s Christmas Eve and I head over to Jennifer’s house. I am so stoked to make the exchange…seeing as the items are vitally necessary for our planning party that will soon take place. The moment comes….I hand her the gift….she brings out mine….

We bought each other the EXACT same gift!!!
2.gif
At this moment we realize the DIS has official taken over our minds and literally fall over in laughter!!!

Okay, besides the separated at birth identical twins, who would buy the same gift for each other? Our families began to worry…and question our sanity. We had both intended on purchasing one for ourselves after the holidays and now we had just saved $60! (Thanks for the Fuzzy Disney Math, DLMama or V or random DISer!)

Now we were ready to plan out all of our dining delights!! And soon we will be ready to share them with you…..

Will I like the Cowboy cookies now. That may have tainted them for me.

All my extra goes to Tera...she has to have her daily dose or she gets very cranky!

Well, as stated previously...I do enjoy me a good Cadbury egg...but I'll eat the egg and leave the chocolate shell! :thumbsup2

Id like to see that. (trying to envision how to get to the center of a Cadbury Cream egg w/o eating chocolate.):lmao:

It is her secret talent... I just vomited in my mouth a little!

Oh, ok. But you still might end up ingesting chocolate.

:lmao:

She'll eat a little chocolate...if nothing else is available. It is just not her first choice...which I find incredibly disturbing!!!

I want a planning party too  I can just picture you guys jumping up and down squealing like little girls!

Do you have the "how do you eat yours?" adverts too?

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I also highly recommend planning parties...and you should do it around others...that way you can entertain them with all of your squealing and such! ;)

Oh I wish no one I know shares my obsession, maybe it's the Brits or something stiff upper lip and all that! That's why I'm on here all the time :thumbsup2
