Tera is the reason for the season...the DIS season. She has cost me sooooo much money...far more money than I have cost her by encouraging her to come on the vacation with me and the enforcer. OK...maybe not that much money. But, definitely close...

Did you know that when you join the DIS you end up filling your house with tons of crap? Let's just skim the list:

1. Pins (collectible pins that is)---Tera convinced me that we should make
the enforcer and genius girl trade Disney Pins. But, we did get the best deal online (thanks Budget Board) and each got 7 pins for like $20!!!!
2. Pin Lanyard---because you gotta have a place to hang the stinkin' pins.
Tera got the enforcer and genius girl each a pin lanyard for Christmas. So,
technically, I didn't pay for that...so chalk that up to more money on Tera's
side.
3. Lime Green Mickey Antenna Toppers---Ummmm...yea, no explanation for this one. The enforcer and I went to the Disney Store. And, he is walkin' around the store when all of a sudden I hear from several feet away: "LOOK MOM...LIME GREEN!" He spotted the lime green Mickey antenna toppers...before ME!!!! Is it sad when your child begins to look out for DIS merchandise as well??? So, I just HAD to pick up 2 for me and T-Ray!
4. Mini Fans---Tera picked these up this last weekend to put in the kiddos
Easter baskets. Jon got a Buzz Lightyear one. A necessity right...to fan
yourself on those too long boring lines. What happened first thing? The
dog ate off the fan blades. Dang...had to place a call to the "Easter Bunny"
to see where he (or she) picked the fans up to get a replacement.
5. Beach Towels---Again, Tera is convinced that the kiddos need rockin'
beach towels to carry with them to the water parks...still not sure if I'm
gonna be able to suck my butt into a swimsuit...but we'll see!
6. T-shirts---we'll cover this in another story! But, just you wait
people. You will be able to see us comin'!
7. Baggallini---Ummmm...yea, do Tera and I really need lime green
baggallinis? YES WE DO! I got mine on sale (Thanks Budget Board) for cheap cheap cheap! And, then I got my very bestest friend one for her birthday. I had it sent to her 2 months before her birthday because I didn't want to miss out on the totally tubular sale dudes!!! Early birthday presents rock!
8. Fanny Packs---So, we're going to be wearing baggallinis and fanny packs? Ummmm...no, but the kids totally need a waist huggin' bag to put their crap in too! Both of them have really small hips...so I hope they stay up! Oh..and did I mention that these are official DISboard fanny packs? We are pimpin' our kids out!
9. Goodies for Fanny Packs---we need to keep genius girl and the enforcer
entertained and fed in lines so that we can keep track of every detail of
the day in our trusty notepads. This is very important. We have to know
every detail so that we can come back and add this junk to our TR!
10. Glow Sticks---Ummmm...yea...so Tera bought 100 glow sticks! She came home from Tar-jay one day and called and said she scored millions of glow sticks for .00002 cents each, or some ridiculously small amount like that.
11. Passporters---This is the funniest story about how we ended up with
these. But, that's also for another post!
12. Autograph Book (plus pen)---We are forcing genius girl and the enforcer to attack every Disney celebrity in sight! We need to get everyone's autograph. We may set Dam up in line and go relax while he saves our spot to get the Mickey siggy...we're not sure yet what evil things we're gonna do to Dam!

Sooooo, you see people! We have spent an arm and a leg for all of this
absolutely necessary crap. And, we‚re not done yet. We totally have a list
of millions more necessary things that we have to have to have to bring with us. And, Tera has limited me to one suitcase. Can somebody pleeeeeeease explain to her that that is not enough room for all of the necessary DIS junkola? Pleeeeeeeeease!


Okay, okay...so the one suitcase rule is very necessary! You see, Jennifer thinks that for a weekend trip she needs to bring everything she owns. Her HHR is usually so loaded down that it would be easier (and more comfortable) for the Enforcer to ride on the roof!!

So, how, do you ask, can we get all of our junk down to Disney? Here is the plan: 1 piece of checked luggage for Jennifer and the Enforcer, 1 piece of checked luggage for Dam, Genius Girl and I, and 1 piece of checked luggage for all the junk, birthday presents and snacks. We will then all have our carry-ons...I think we will be fine!!! Every time we talk about this plan Jennifer starts to hyperventilate. I keep telling her that Dam is the expert packer and he will repack her fourteen bags to fit into one!

Jennifer did not mention the few hundred Disney Dollars we have gotten to
bribe our children. Bash away...yes, we use the ancient art of bribery to get the behaviors we so desire. We actually prefer to call it "offering
incentives"...but, ya know a good old bribe gets it done every time!!!! So,
both the Enforcer and Genius Girl have a pretty nice stash of cash put away
and they have both earned the Good Citizen Award at school. See, it can
work!

We still have a few more loose ends to tie up and a few more items to
purchase, but I think all our bargain shopping and planning has been worth
it.

The money that we have spent preparing for this adventure could have gotten us an upgrade to AKL!! But, I would rather see the shy Enforcer walk up to a stranger and ask to trade pins or Genius Girl attain the coveted Cinderella siggie, than watch the African wildlife from my veranda...or would I? Where did I put those receipts?

Hmmm, are either (or any of you Target lovers) attending a baby shower any time soon? I got the cutest newborn (they had larger sizes too) of DISNEY themed socks! Mickey, Minnie, and some other DISney channel show characters were on the socks! They're in the $1.00 isle! I saw Dora socks too.
