Wonder's Panama Canal Repo 2011 - AND WE'RE NOT BRINGING IT BACK!

Question: If you fax'd in to IC and you notified DU, do they automatically contact you when this cruise opens up or do you still have to log on to the website and try to get a reservation that way? I see they think it will be announced in October now and I'm getting nervous....

I have heard that bookings will be in October but announcement of 2011 itineraries(sp?) will be at D23 Expo out here in Anaheim Sept 10-13... My DW and I are thinking about attending the Expo...

Wow, this thread is already pretty lengthy! Since it looks like I won't be making it back to Florida next year (too busy with work) I'm going to plan to be on this cruise, I've always wanted to see the Panama Canal! Will be just myself unless something changes between now and then. I've read quite a bit (not all) of this thread, and alot of people have mentioning faxing in a request to be on this cruise's waitlist.

If I just want a Category 6 and not a Cat 3 or above, should I still do this? And do I do this direct to Disney, or do I need to use a Disney travel agent (for the first time in my life?) and get on their list? Sorry if this has been asked previously!

Sorry to say we are no longer considering this cruise as we are doing back to back Magic cruises in October 2010 and will do a couple of weeks in Maui in 2011. Hope you all have a great time on this special cruise and maybe in the future we can get to the Panama Canal

Hi, I just read about the possibility of PC cruise and had some questions if anyone can help?
We were booked for a couple different second cruises and am now pregnant so we have put it all on hold (including out TA cruise) till 2011, I am just not comfortable taking a less than one year old anywhere.
Anywho, I have read this thread and came up with a few questions. My first is when booking open is there ever any cat 12 rooms or should I just figure that cat 11 would be our best bet. We will be a family of five ( kids will be 7, 5 and 16 months if the cruise is in Feb 2011) and I am going to have to go the cheapest route possible since 2 cabins.
Secondly, is my best bet to get a TA and does anyone have any that they have used in the past for cruises like this?

I think it will be Cat 11. I was not able to book a Cat 12 on either the Canal cruise or on this one. We use Dreams Unlimited. They sponsor this boardand I appreciate that.

Hubby and I were on the 1st PC cruise in May of 05. I seriously hope Disney goes for a May (or April at the earliest) for a sail date. The Pacific was seriously frigid in May! You can hopefully count us on the repo cruise with a bunch of extended family if we can.

We were 2 adults in a Cat 11 for the 2008 crossing. Our cost to book first day was right at $3000 for the 2 of us. It was a 15 day cruise. The rumor is booking will be Oct (?) and the cruise will be Feb 2011. Just spreading rumors though as I have no real info.

(Gulp)....15....days....! I'd love that much time on a ship...but not sure how to do that with vacation time. So...what day did you leave last time and when did you arrive? If the 15 days includes a 3 day weekend (hoping!) and a 2 day weekend then we might (fingers crossed) make it work. Otherwise....well, I'll be waving and
