Wonder's Panama Canal Repo 2011 - AND WE'RE NOT BRINGING IT BACK!

I think I read here somewhere, but cant remember what page. Since there are so many extra days, what do they do for shows and entertainment? Do they have different ones each night or do they repeat? The extra at sea relaxing time would be wonderful, just wondered if there were any extra activities going on. Thanks

They have different shows each night and so many activities that you cannot do them all. TOO much fun can be had! :woohoo::thumbsup2

Yes, there are extra activities to enjoy, and also different shows. One of the shows was a Mexican one, when we were at Mexico, then there were some entertainers on board who did shows, plus an extra big show. We didn't actually get to very many I'm afraid. We became far too lazy!!

There was a 'live' mystery to solve. I think it was a murder on the Transatlantic, but on the Panama Canal last year we had to find out who stole a painting and why. I think it ran for about 4 days with short acting skits, tv bits, and parts around the ship to solve.

Ummm yeah... and if Joey Fatone shows up ONE more time.... :headache:

Joey????

He was standing in front of me during the fireworks.....so I have got in in about 20 pics, and he kept turning around when I took a picture

(an old trick...use your camera's flash when you take fireworks pictures...and it slows down the shutter speed enough that the fireworks are nice and crisp)

The word is ...November...for the 2011 sailing announcements.....

Just bumping this thread back up to the top!! :thumbsup2

DCL seems to like bringing washed up has-beens onboard to entertain us for the longer trips. Alfonso Ribeiro? Good grief! :rotfl2:
Maybe they come really cheap - like a free cruise is all they need? And didn't he host some kind of game show on the Game Show Network in the past few years. I'm embarassed that I actually know that. :rolleyes1:rotfl2:

No idea about the game show (didn't have cable until recently).....but a free cruise sounds like a good deal to me! :thumbsup2

Just found out that on the Wonder, kids 12-14 are not in the Lab, but in Ocean Quest.......and we'll be in WDW for the 40th anniversity of WDW....

Is the 40th in 2012?

Trying to do the math because Shannon and I were there for the 25th in Sept 1997, so add 15 and you get 2012, right?

Just as long as they don't make the castle a cake again... :sad2::sad2:

DH and I are taking a "Hakuna Matata" approach: If we don't get on the PC crossing, we'll be OK. A little bummed, but OK.

We figure: We live in L.A. and can then go on the Wonder whenever we'd like. :thumbsup2

Giving us a bump back up to the top!

Have a good weekend everyone! :cool1:

Here is a question for all my future fellow cruisers...

I want to book a dummy date late in late 2010 and then switch it to this cruise when the dates come out. I want to do this to get the onboard booking discount and the OBC.

We have friends cruising soon and they offered to book a dummy cruise for us while onboard. How could they do this?

If my friend puts her name and my name on the same stateroom reservation and then her name drops off the ressie at a later date, do I still keep the applicable discounts and credit...and then could I add my wife to the ressie?

Does anyone know the answer or has anyone ever attempted this? It's kind of sneaky but DCL still gets the $$$$.

TIA

When our friends tried this, once the person eligible for the discount canceled, the prevailing rate was applied to the reservation.

YMMV.

Thanks Woody,

Kind of thought that was going to be the case...thought I'd ask anyway.

Waiting..... for the new Itineraries to be announced. I wish that they would change some of the ports on the PC cruise. I would love to spend more time in the Panama area. It's a long shot I know, but I would rather have a Panama stop than any of the Mexican stops.

I agree 100%!!

Question: If you fax'd in to IC and you notified DU, do they automatically contact you when this cruise opens up or do you still have to log on to the website and try to get a reservation that way? I see they think it will be announced in October now and I'm getting nervous....
