The "stated" reason- they lost it's corporate sponsor.

The "real" reason- Disney no longer wished the pavilion to remain open.

Why do I say that?

I'm sure what helped in the decision was that it required way more CM's to operate WoL than UoE. More people = less chance of survival. It wasn't a draw by itself and it was expensive to keep open therefore it is history.
