Wonder's EBPC 9/12/14 Who's Going With Us!

500 as of this morning according to my phone countdown app!:thumbsup2

Hi All,

My wife and I just transferred to doing the Panama cruise again. We did it back in 2007 and had a blast!!!! This time we wanted to go the other way and bring our twin girls (they will be just short of 4 when we sail). This will be our 4th cruise and is totally looking forward to meeting you all!!!!!!!

Hello Everyone, we are so excited to be going on our second cruise next Sept. My name is Tanya and my DH - James, DD - Tori (17) and DS - Brody (9) will be joining me. We are celebrating our DD Senior Year and our DS Birthday. We would love to be apart of the FE group! It was one of our favorite things about the Disney Cruise. I will give our room numbers later because they may change. (Trying to convince our Air Force Sons to go with us and we would want to be close to each other.)

Can't wait, I hope this year goes by fast!!

I also want to :welcome::welcome::welcome: both pops711 and family & FresnoFamily and family to the cruise!!! So glad all of you are joining us on the cruise!!! We are going to have a blast on this cruise. We are getting closer with each passing day. I guess it is somewhere around 500 days until we set sail. Again, welcome aboard you guys!!!:cool1::thumbsup2

that weird I have an excel sheet that keeps track of a few things and it says 469 but when i add it by hand i get 500?!?!?!? i need to find the problem :):):):):)

Did get a few spare minutes today to update the FE list on my previous post here. The link to the sign-up form is also in that post.

If you think you've signed up before today and you are not on the list, please submit again - thanks!

DW and I watched on the Destination America channel last night an hour long show about the Disney Cruise Line. This channel is having a week long showing all about Disney, parks and the cruise line. Check it out everyone!!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I gotta remember to see that!

Yeah, it's a new show. I keep checking every now and then. This one was made just this year, and shows allot of the Dream. some of the Magic & Wonder, and just a little bit of the Fantasy. But it is fun and interesting. We are looking forward to seeing some of the behind the scenes tours on our "Sea" days on the Wonder next year. Something we haven't been able to do up to this point.:cool1:

I'm with you on the behind the scenes deal. I'd love to do some of those.

I think that would be great! As the cruise draws nearer we can start conspiring. From what I've read on other posts, these things are not usually pre planned in that you can book when your window opens up.

Sounds good to me. I didn't know the tours are not setup in advance. Ok, as the cruise gets closer we'll start our planning.:thumbsup2

It was a lot infomercials but contained numerous great nuggets of info. If you seen the previous one that was done before Dream and Fantasy there was some photage that was the same.

I gotta remember to see that!

I believe it's replayed tonight on Discovery Destionation America (not the regular Discovery channel).

If someone missed it or can't get Discovery Destination America, PM me, I might be able to help out ;)

Hmmm any ideas how/when/where to do the secret handshake to get in on one of these behind the scene tours? I would absolutely love to do one. Soon doing a cruise so if someone knows would love to find out, if nothing else I might be able to at least find out something more during our close upcoming cruise to share with y'all.

Stop by GS on first day and ask about Galley tours, backstage, art of ship, etc. not all are offered on every cruise, but all should be on this one because of all the sea days. They are free but you have to have tickets for most of them and they go pretty quick. On the longer cruises there are more chances to get tickets, more seadays, but you still need to get them as early as possible if it is something you really want to do.

Here's the dumbish question:
I've seen a lot of crazy things planned for other long cruises through Disney (like Boyz II Men if memory serves). How do we know what they have in store for us? Or are we going in blind? Pack a thousand books and then wait to see what happens....?

At work last night I asked my boss "Leannda and I booked the Panama Canal cruise for Sept 2014. Hypothetically if Emily (a coworker/friend), added herself onto our reservation and we all had the right PTO we wouldn't be denied our vacation because we all have the correct PTO right?" My boss was seeing where I was going with this and was like "that would mean the schedule would be very tight and no one could call in sick for nearly three weeks..." Wondering though if we can add another friend onto the res.

LOL...there are a couple of cruises inbetween actually! We have 4 on deck for right now, maybe more in the future after that. Oct 19 Fantasy in 169 days, Feb 13 Dream in 286 days, then this one in 497 days. Oh yea - we are getting married in there also!

Some folks are overplanners and have a strong NEED TO KNOW every detail before they sail. For those who keep calling DCL will admit the names and acts about 2 weeks before sailing usually. The same goes with the movies that will be onboard. Me personally? I will find out when I get onboard and enjoy the offerings as they happen.

Adding someone before the PIF date is usually possible. Talk to your TA or call DCL if you booked direct with them for guidance. I have done it in the past without issue, but the rules change daily!

Some of the entertainment that Disney had in '08 were comics, comedy jugglers, ventriloquism, they also had Joey Pantone and Alfonso Ribeiro. Not all the shows were A+ shows but they do there best to keep you entertained. also most of the shows were done in a family setting so the kids could come as well as adult setting. over alli would give them a solid A- over all for entertainment.
