Wonder's EBPC 9/12/14 Who's Going With Us!

Thank you Cayla for the great info on the FE. This is going to be such a fun cruise.

I just went to the FE link on the first page of this thread, and it's a link for a FE for a Disney Dream cruise April 2013, not the Wonder PC cruise in September 2014. Did I do something wrong?

My apologies - I HAVE been gone on a cruise - it's fixed now.....I had graciously shared the form with someone so they could copy and use it but the just edited my form instead! So, now I have it all fixed up so that it's right again - you should be able to sign up without an issue.

Hi everyone! I'm Olive and DH is Bob. We signed up for the Panama Canal cruise while on our last cruise. We have sailed on the Fantasy and the Dream so this will be our first time on the Wonder. We were having some second thoughts about this cruise, but after reading all of the posts here we are getting excited to be going.
We are both semi-retired and look forward to many more trips and cruises.
We have never done a meet or FE so would like more info on that. We look forward to meeting many new friends.

:welcome::welcome::welcome: to you both! Look forward to meeting everyone on here!

I have a little different take on the FE exchange than others who have posted info on here - I usually do either a cabin gift for the adults (or individual adult gifts) and I also give gifts for each of the children and make them age specific. There are some good threads on the DIS about FE's - here are a couple of links for you to read more about them. It's REALLY UP TO YOU WHAT YOU DECIDE TO DO - the ONLY "rule" for our FE is to have FUN!

Welcome Robin and Angel

Glad to have you!

Hi.

I just booked this last week, and can't wait to go. I have been on the Magic in 2008, and the Dream in 2011. Both times were with with family. This time it will be just my Girlfriend and I. As much is I love my kids and my family, it is going to be so nice to have someone special, that I can share this with, and make some great memories that will last forever.

The kids are going to be a little upset that they aren't going, especially since the rest of my family is going on the Fantasy in 3 weeks. But 2 weeks is too long to miss school, and besides this is a trip for just us. It will be our first true vacation by ourselves in 5 years. We have 3 kids between the two of us, and except for a bunch of random weekends away, all our vacations have been the five of us. It is our time now.

It's going to be fun waiting for the next 17 months & 24 days to put everything together, it can't come quick enough...

Welcome Dave, I'm in the same boat as you (pun intended). We're leaving kids behind too. I'd have loved to do WDW on this trip as well but by the time I'm off the cruise I'll be crazy missing them.

I to would like to :welcome::welcome::welcome: Davetut109 - Dave & Cindy. So glad you are joining us on this cruise. My wife and I have taken our granddaughter on all of our Disney cruises, except this one. Like you said it will be two weeks, and that is just too long for her to miss school. she's not happy about it, but she understands.

When you put it that way - 17 months & 24 days - it don't seem like it's that long at all..........does it?!!?? Again, welcome aboard!!!:thumbsup2

Are my kids going to be the only ones on this cruise? :lmao: That's ok. When we were on the Magic it was during a KSF so now we'll get to see what the clubs are like when they aren't occupied by a giant, roaring mob.

Nope, we are bringing our kids too - they are Anders, DS, 14 (at time of cruise) and Emily, DD 11 (at time of cruise)..........they already know they'll be doing some homework on board, but DGMa and DGPa are going to help them out - they always work much better for the grandparents - LOL!

I'm probably going on this trip. On the Hawaii cruise there were less children than usual but it was perfect. The pools and clubs were busy but not crowded. The CMs got to know the kids well. The kids will really enjoy it.

Will be following this thread and booking it on my January cruise. It will be me (the mom, will be 47 then) and my DS who will be 7 then. Any other single parents going?

Well it's now official, during our way to short Bahamas Cruise last week we booked our cabin. Yay...

So time to start planning and figure out what is photo worthy, who here done a Panama Canal cruise before and into photography and can recommend/suggest what to shoot during the passing and our stops?

I would like to extend an early :welcome::welcome::welcome: to luv2sleep and son to the cruise. Glad you are going to book this cruise on your next one in January.

Not a single parent here, and not sure if there are any posting here on the thread as yet. But, I'm sure there will be others joining luv2sleep. Again, welcome aboard. Just jump on in and start posting anytime you want to. :thumbsup2

Glad it is finally official EjeG!!! This is going to be one Fantastic cruise!!!

Check out DisneyZell's trip report. If I remember correctly he does suggest some places to be for some nice photo opt's. The link for his trip report is below. (From the looks of the photo's in his trip report we are going to have to get up mighty early to get a good spot!!!):thumbsup2
