Wonder's EBPC 9/12/14 Who's Going With Us!

I've never been to a Comicon, but I have heard it is fun and interesting. You get to see some pretty interesting people there. Heck, I can walk down any street in my home town and see some pretty interesting, (and weird), people.:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

We had a lot of fun we dressed up like zombies.glad we went his time but probably wouldn't do it again. I guess I'm getting old.

We were down in San Diego for the last big ComicCon. I couldn't score tickets though. We drove by and it was a madhouse of all kids of craziness. I would have loved to take my son. Maybe another year.

Hi all...I have a few questions.
This is our 3rd Disney Cruise. 2 past cruises were on the Magic back in 2003 and 2004 I think...it's been so long (too long!)
1. Can you bring loose tea on board? We absolutely love Teavana tea and drink it all the time, we would like to be able to have a cup every evening at least but don't know if it's allowed to be brought on board.
2. Does DCL have an arrangement in CA like they do in FL to pick passengers up at the airport and take them to the port?
3. Is there more than one Captain's Dinner Night since it's a 14 day cruise?
4. Does anyone know the dimension of the stateroom number on the door? I want to make some door decorations.
5. We are thinking of driving to Orlando then flying to CA so we only have to fly in one direction (husband's not too thrilled with flying) Do we come back to Miami or Pt. Canaveral? If Miami, is there a bus to WDW?
Thanks!!!
So super excited.:yay:

Does anyone know how to post a picture?

You need to have a hosting service like photobucket and upload the picture there. Then copy/paste a link from that site to your DIS post.

1. I would assume its okay since they let you bring alcohol on board.
2. I'm not sure about the San Diego Transfers. If they do offer them it won't be the same as it is in Florida.
3. I read on another site that there's one formal and two semi-formal nights.
4. I don't know that one.
5. The Wonder returns to Port Canaveral on this sailing. You can buy Disney transfers to WDW from there.

Glad to have you!

Hi Shelljay. Dsnydaddy, (aka: Steve), answered your questions on all but the 4th one. I know the answer to that one..........................me...............yes................me.................I know the answer..........I know, I know, I know...........I would have never believed it either...............who knew.................:confused3.........................anyways...............I had found sometime ago a thread for door magnets, and on this thread there were magnets for the stateroom number on the door. Well, I just measured one of those magnets and it measures 7 1/2 inches around. Here is the link to that thread. You can download any of the designs for free. I downloaded the ones I wanted and then printed them out onto magnetic paper, then cut them out. It was easy to do. Here is that link:

Hope they have something there you like, or it will help you with making your own door magnets. :thumbsup2

I love it! They are not selling this plate online right now - are they available onboard? We are going on the Fantasy for our honeymoon in Oct and thought this would be an amazing memento!!

I just went on a 7 day cruise on the Fantasy (February 16th) and they did NOT have the plate. Just the knife. Which really bummed me out because I didn't know they sold either and a CM told me they they sold the knife and plate at Treasures (I forgot the name of the store... it's the one right across White Caps). ANYWAY, they only had the knife and no where was a "place" for the plate.

So maybe they sold out. I would LOVE to have the plate too!

I just looked at DisneyStore.com to see if they had any other "cruise" merch.

They are selling the pillow that they have on the bed in the stateroom for the same price it is on the ship.

http://www.disneystore.com/mickey-mouse-pillow-disney-cruise-line/mp/1318969/1000327/

$189.95

I know when I was shopping in the stores on the ship and people were looking at the price... well they were not too happy. It is a beautiful pillow though...

I'm also on the hunt to find the actual pillow you sleep with. They are the MOST comfortable pillows ever! That along with the comforter... you can sleep for days!

Thank you Steve and David...ah David...you may want to cut back on your caffeine intake...or increase your meds!! LOL (I really love the enthusiasm)
:lmao:

What are some of your plans when we finally board the Wonder next year? DW and I have not been on the Wonder, or any of Disney's classic ships, for sometime now. So I think we will do some exploring and reacquaint oursevles with the Wonder.

By the time this cruise rolls around we will have been on the Wonder 3x making the PC crossing our fourth voyage with her. Since this will be our first cruise sans kids I'm thinking that we'll actually be acquainting ourselves with the adult areas. Although from what I am reading PC crossings tend to be heavily adult and as a result many of those areas will be busy. There's a few things that I plan on doing that I've never done before. I want to take advantage of room service. I'd really like to take some ship tours if offered. I've never hung out at the cove cafe. (Although Alaska may change that). And I think that I will stay up late on a few occasions and watch a movie on the Funnelvision all bundled up on deck chairs with my honey ala drive-in movie style.

On most of our Disney cruises our granddaughter was with us. DW and I were saying the other night we too want to check out the adult areas on board as well Steve. We have done room service once or twice. We got breakfast a couple of times. It sure was nice.
Oh yes, the ship tours was another one on the top of list as well. We want to do the backstage entertainment tour and the galley tour if they both are still offered. We did the Art of Disney while on board the Dream back in 2011. We had a small group so the guide went into more detail and showed us some things she normally would not have included in the tour. It was great.
Ah yes, and watching a movie on the big screen up on deck, just like a drive-in movie. Donna and I did many drive-ins when we were younger and dating. The drive-ins seem to have all but disappeared. What a shame.
Donna said she also wants to just set out on the deck - deck 4 where they have those lounge chairs, and relax. Something, when granddaughter was with us, we never got to do, and read her Kindle.

I forgot about those deck 4 lounges. Yes! I'm definitely availing myself of those. Especially since we'll have an inside cabin.

We'll have to organize the tours it'll be fun to do them together.

We have cruised twice on the Magic and this will be our 3 time on the Wonder. The Wonder is my favorite of the 2 ships. We enjoy sitting on deck 4 and reading. We also seem to see a lot of charaters on that deck. We are taking the wonder on it's way from San Diego to Vancouver in 2014 also. We were able to book the same room for both trips. We want to see if we can be real creative and hide something in the room and see if it will be there on the Panama cruise when we get back.

When we were scheduled for our Dream B2B I found out that a friend of mine from a previous cruise was going to be on the cruise just following mine. I had thought that it would be fun to hide a message for him to find on board. Instead I just changed our B2B dates so that our last B2B cruise was on his first one. That way we were able to hang together once again.

:Pinkbounc:jumping3::bounce::tiptoe:

Sooo...what's the temperature going to be like?

Anyone taking formal wear: gown, tuxedo?

Our wish list:
Massages
Palo Brunch
Palo Dinner
Behind the Scenes (we do community theatre so it'll be interesting to get pointers)
Relaxation

Don't know what excursions there are...anyone have any "must do" excursion suggestions?

I think the temps should be pretty nice that time of the year. Mayby Steve can give us a better idea for temps on the west coast for September. As far as the Caribbean goes DW and I have sailed in both September and October in the Caribbean and the temps are GREAT.

I'm not taking a tux. I will bring my dress suit though. DW always looks GREAT on dress-up night. (Now, I'm not saying she don't look GREAT on all the other nights...............because she does!!!) Had to cover myself on that one folks!!! WHEW!!!!!:sad2:

Your wish list sounds likea good one Shelljay. I'm not sure about the excursions either. Guess we will have to wait and see. :thumbsup2
