Wonderland Tea Party at the GF

Hi,

We are staying at The GF for 5 nights next March and I was just wondering if anybody has tried the Wonderland Tea Party before.

Our DS is 3 and we will be travelling with some friends who have a DS of 3 as well, and a DD of 6.

What ages is it suitable for? Do adults stay? What days/times is it on? What does it comprise of (what do they do)? How much does it cost? Do you need to make PS?

My dd did this last summer, she loved it. Most kids are around 7yrs.old or younger. Mine was 8, but fit right in. It cost $25.00. You need to make ps's because they only except a certain amount of kids. Parents aren't allowed to stay. You pay on arrival, around 15min. before it starts. THey give the parents a beeper, just in case the child cries & doesn't want to stay. But, they have such a good time there, that the beeper never goes off. Anyway, they have a beautiful table set up, with china, napkins & beautiful decoratiions on the tables. They escort the kids into the room, & Alice , The Mad Hatter and 2 cm's. are there. Please, don't forget to give the kids a camera to take with them, as their able to take pictures. THe cm's will take pictures of the child with the charectors for them. They all sit down, have fancy apple tea, finger sandwiches and sometype of little cake/cookie. They all LOVE it. Its not only for little girls, there were some boys there also. Its around 1 hr. or so. But being my dd was by herself we didn't leave the GF. We grabbed a cup of coffee, & walked around the resort. Parents aren't allowed to go with them in the dining room, but there is a sitting area right outside the door, that you can wait. You can also peak through the window to see what goes on. Being my dd didn't go in with a friend, I wasn't sure if she would like it or not, but, everyone of those kids who went, came out with the biggest smiles on there faces. Your little ones will surely enjoy it. Just remember to call for the ps's as soon as your able to. March isn't that crowded time at disney, unless its easter time, so you shouldn't have a problem getting in. Its done 2 or 3 times a week in the afternoon, around 1pm. The GF also has the adventures in cooking. It looks like fun,(did you see Disney Unwrapped). THe kids decorate cupcakes & then hand them out to guests in the lobby when there done. I'm pretty sure they also have the Pirates Cruise also. THe kids go on a little boat to hunt for treasure. It all sounds like fun...To be young again.........

We had already decided to book the Pirates Cruise, but we weren't too sure about this, but your description sounds GREAT!

The adventures in cooking sounds good too - oh, there is so much for them to do and so little time!

Hi Richard,

My DD has decided to try Pirates and the Cooking in Oct. I made PS's for both this week (120days) and was asked for a credit card to hold them. They sound fun - we will let you know how it went in our trip report.

cooking is Tue and Fri mornings
pirates is Mon Wed Thu mornings
Tea party is Mon Wed Fri afternoons

I was there in March and my DD was 4 and did the Tea Party. She loved it. She also went it alone but was fine. They make all the kids feel welcome. Also if you have a girl you may want to put her in a princess gown if she has one. I think my DD was one of the only kids not in princess attire, not that it bothered her. Have a great time.
