Are there family bathrooms anywhere in Disney?

Not trying to have another thread about Moms taking sons into bathrooms until they are xxx age, or Dads taking daughters into bathrooms with blinders on, just wondering if Disney has jumped on the family/companion bathroom bandwagon.

Thanks!

I have seen a family bathroom at Epcot and in Hollywood Studio's near Tower of Tower .

I do know that there are companion bathroom around near the regular bathrooms. I think they are typically used for a handicapped person and a helper, but I would rather use them than take my daughter in to the mens room!!!!

From allearsnet.com:Companion Assisted Rest Room info

All Walt Disney World public restrooms have wheelchair accessable stalls.

Unfortunately the accessable stalls do not always accomodate the size of some individual wheelchairs.

Companion Rest Room locations are where members of the opposite sex can enter the restroom together when assistance is needed. Sometime a wheelchair is unable to fit in the wheelchair stall in the women's or men's rest rooms. Another example would be when an opposite sex person is needed to assist even if there isn't a wheelchair involved such as with an older autistic child with an opposite sex attendant.

Not all companion restrooms have changing tables.

Keep in mind that the number of companion restrooms are very limited and should only be used when the regular restroom will not accomodate your needs!

Personally, I don't like using the HC equipped stalls or companion restrooms for my ds because the toilets are raised higher than a standard toilet seat, which makes it more difficult for ds to use. If you can use a regular stall, it really is better for smaller kids.

Another option is to use the restroom facilities located in the babycare centers which have toddler size toilets in them (at least 3 of the 4 do). There is only one center per park though so it may not always be conveniently located.

hth!

I know the babycare center at MK (end of Main street near the Castle) has a unisex (non automatic flush) bathroom.

This is great to know - we purchased a folding toilet seat for DS 3 but he's better on the smaller toilets - mental note made !:surfweb:

(non automatic flush)

This is the key for us. THANKS. DD is terified of those auto flush toilets that always start to flush while she is still sitting, her little bum-bum is so little, I am afraid she will get sucked right down too
:lmao:

Take a pack of post it sticky notes in your pocket. Stick the note over the sensor and remove when you are ready to flush.

Works wonders!!!!!!:goodvibes

Good to know...my 4 yo dd has issues with "big potties" and only likes the "little potties". :)

We love using this. The people that "guard" that babycenter are super nice and didn't question our using it although our boys were clearly already potty trained (they were 4 and 3 at the time). The bathroom in there is very nice, quiet, and clean.
