Now, I don't usually look at resales any more, but "clutter" just mentioned calling TTS and buying some BCV, and so I looked at what was available.

There is a 25 point March use year BCV that is "sale pending." Does anyone remember seeing that item BEFORE it was "sale pending?"

We have March use year, and I would have sort of been interested, but I always read that "the small really desirable listings" never make it to the board, so I don't bother, but boy, I sure would have been tempted!!

Anyway, did anyone see it before it was sold? I just may have to start looking again.

I think I did see that before it said "sale pending" (I check several times a day). The best thing to do is call the resale brokers and get on their list. I bought my small OKW contract that way and it never hit the list until it said "sale pending". They have a waitlist of sorts of people looking for the smaller contracts.

Thanks! It would have been an "impulse" purchase, an affordable one, but DH mentioned that just about the only thing he would want for Father's Day would be some BCV points. Now, we don't give each other presents for Mother's or Father's Day, so he was joking, but still.

I did notice it before it said sale pending, but it went fast. I remember thinking 25 points would be nice, but wouldn't want to wait until 07 to be able to use them! The good thing about owning bcv is that they sell like hotcakes if you ever need to! But somehow we all seem to be looking to buy rather than sell!

We are thinking of adding on at BWV or BCV, but it doesn't make sense financially to do it through resale, in my opinion, because of the closing costs. I am calling my guide today to inquire more, but if you want more BCV points you could always just get on Disney's waitlist. That BCV contract at TSS didn't look great to me either b/c it was so stripped.

You are right, but it was THERE! DH and I had been talking and at 25 points at a time, we would be interested in accumulating some BCV.

You probably won't get anywhere trying to impulse buy a small, desirable contract, because it will be gone before you decide to take action. Think through what you want and put yourselves on a couple of waiting lists.

Man!!!! If my Dh ever hints about something as good as DVC points for his Birthday, Fathers Day, Memorial Day, Presidents Day,...whatever, I'd be on the phone with my guide making sure DH got what he wanted!!! ;) It sounds like an open door to me! :teeth: I love gifts that we both get to enjoy! :goodvibes

I'm no expert at this, but it seems to me that if you are buying a small contract, you may do just as well on price by going through Disney directly through the waitlist with no closing costs The closing costs of resale pretty quickly bring it up to the DVC price on a small point purchase and the speed and convenience of closing is another incentive. We recently got our 50 pt add on at BWV after only 11 days on the waitlist. :)

We just added 50 points in Oct at SSR and just today DW and I were talking about possibly adding another 50 at BWV just because we like the location that would make 4 contracts at 4 different resorts. I think DVC is an addiction that I hope they never find a cure for LOL.
