Wonderful Panama Canal Sept 2014

Hope this isn't something you are going to have to deal with repeatedly for slightly less than a year.

Here's what I kinda' want and it sounds passive aggressive and awful to want this but:
One of the older RNs asked "do you want me to ask Denise (our DoN/boss)? Say that I'm worried we'll be short staffed." I kinda' want her to and then I don't look like the bad guy. But I want it after Christmas because I bought the person who wouldn't go a cruise themed X-mas gift and I don't want to return it (a giant sun hat.). I just want the answer to be settled without feelings hurt. Em already said if Lee couldn't go she couldn't pay the 2nd person price. So.... It's one of those things working nights in a small hospital in a small town (we have a population of 7,000 people in the winter), is your coworkers become family/friends so when you want to go on vacation or plan fancy plans (like everyone going out for someone's birthday) it's tricky. On the ever plus side originally it looked like 4 RNs from days were going to go, 2 aides from evenings, and us 3 on the same cruise. Now if I make a jack hole out of myself drinking I won't humiliate myself and the whole hospital won't be gone at one time. Oh and Lee doesn't drink so I won't be trying to compete with booze.

Booked our hotel in San Diego for Sept 10th - 12th . Only costing me and mom $150 each. Can you purchase zoo tickets online prior to arriving?

We won't be getting our plane tickets until after tax return time. I joined the Southwest rewards program to get emails about deals. Would love to catch an amazing bargain since we only need to book 1 way tickets.

How early can I reserve the car from the Orlando airport? Gonna have to check into that

I'm tempted to book my Hotel, but still paying off another vacation. So, I gotta hold off. There are some great hotels in San Diego.

Just Looked up San Diego Cruise parking. Looks to be about $9 per day if you pre-book. I didn't see any park/sleep/fly options in San Diego. I'm going to continue to look.

Most hotels don't make you pay up front, they only charge you if you make a ressie and then don't cancel it or show up

to our Wonderful group . This cruise should be a blast.

I talk about it and already "meeting" people that are on the same sailing and there are all like," you're nuts !! Who gets online and meets people they are cruising with months before the cruise?"

My spontaneous co-workers who cruise Carnival at the drop of a hat think I'm completely insane . I try to tell them that the planning is 1/2 the fun and , but they just don't get it or me.

I'm very happy to know that there are 1000's and 1000's just as nutty as I am.

Did want to say, that when we switch our reservation today to this cruise, from a Western Caribbean on the Fantasy, they said that this one was almost sold out. No more verandah at all, except for the suites. Sounds like it will be a full house.

that is suprising, usually these cruises don't sell out! Especially since we are not going to Castaway Cay

i have a question i am in the palo brunch group so i cant reserve other spots for brunch or dinner before arrival right, but can i book more after i arrive at the ship im looking to do a dinner and one more brunch if possible

you are allowed one brunch and one dinner online before we sail. They will allow you more reservations if you go to the designated area (usually Studio Sea or the other family meeting area) when you board. If you board early (platinum) you might have to wait a bit, as they try to give everyone a chance for a reservation.

You can always ask at the podium in Palo later that night.

Here is the schedule we had on our previous EBPC in 2008
1--Cruise casual
2--Formal
3-7--Cruise casual
8---semi formal
9-13-Cruise casual
14---formal
15--Cruise casual
Since this is a 14 night vice a 15 night, I would hazard a guess the second formal night would be on the 13th night as that is an 'at sea' day as is the second night. Pirate night was the night before our second formal night. hope this helps people with their planning!

I too would like to say .....................wait a minute...........that ain't right...............my little fingers hit the wrong one.............. ggfred32 and family to the cruise. So glad you are joining us. WOW we got a full ship huh??? That is surprising since this is a longer cruise and a repo cruise too. You just never know. Again, glad to have you sailing with us!!!

Just wanted to add a note to all here. I will not be on here much until we get back from our RCCL Oasis cruise here in a couple of weeks. So much to do and so little time to get it all done.
