:beach: ok peeps it's been awhile but my calendar has 42 days until we start our vacation... Yahooooo. Can't hardly wait. So to all of let the packing begin now come on really start putting think in the spare bedroom.
Going to walmart to get all my small stuff. And Tuesday kohls omg they have fantastic things. Ok enough I'll stop. See you all real soon.:debwalk:

I'm about to go on the road, back early next week, at which point I'll finalize the numbers for wristbands. These are stretchy, silicon wristbands, in glow-in-the-dark white with green lettering that says: "Disney Wonder EBPC 2014 – Cruisin' thru Panama" I'm financing this personally, but will ask people for donations to help defray the cost when they pick up their wristbands at the Meet N Greet. Paper money only; no coins! ($1, $5, $10, etc.) I don't want to wind up with a bunch of coins I have to carry around, but can't use on the cruise. If I happen to wind up with a surplus, I'll give it to guest services for a CM group that does not receive tips for their next party. I won't make a profit either way. I'm planning to have one wristband for: • Everyone on the facebook group, plus the people in their parties, and • The people on this thread who have asked to be included, and told me how many people are in their parties. Hence, if there are four people in your family, but you're the only person from your family in the facebook group, then I have you down for 4 wristbands, based on Padalyn / Cayla's Excel spreadsheet. If I've missed anyone who has posted on this thread, and is not on the fb group, please let me know. If you are on the facebook Excel spreadsheet, I've got you. Please don't post or msg me about this. I won't be able to respond until next week, but I'll catch up then. Please don't ask for more wristbands than the number of people in your party. We're very close to 300 already, and the wristbands come in multiples of 100. I'd really rather not to have to order another 100 because someone wanted to sneak 2 extras! FYI, the per-unit cost, with shipping, works out to about 44¢ apiece. Here's the list of DISBoards families I have so far. Please post corrections or additions on this thread: timbonz 6 Lounbill 5 mesta 4 Shelljay 4 swkkusw 4 Thekoeppens 4 Carys 3 Jsingh1812 – 3 ozzielee 3 pooh & tinker 3 evil queen 2 – 3 CrockettTraveler 2 CruzOle 2 lalaric 2 lynandandy 2 pepperpike 2 tellenrn 2 Thnlk 2 MarjoryM 2 leanndab 1 Susan Bee 1 AuntLesa 1 Last call! :hourglass Thanks, Richard

Richard I think you have doubled up somewhere in our party. Our group (timbo nz and Lounbill) is 9 total, 5 of us and 4 (not 6) of them... In the Facebook group I think there are 7 of us?? Not sure but names of the 9 are Bill Woods, Louise Armstrong, Denver Woods, William Woods, Ally Armstrong, Tim Smith, Stephanie Smith, Ron Lennon, Jan Lennon. William and Ally are definitely not in the Facebook group but I think the rest of us all are... Just so we aren't getting doubled up...

Meeeee toooooo! I started matching stuff up and setting clothes aside so I can see where I need (want) to fill in stuff…
All in all, I think I'm pretty much set. I would like a pair of black palazzo pants but haven't found them yet.
we found ours at Dress Barn (50.00 per pair), yesterday we found some at KMart (20.00 per pair) of all the odd places! (we were on the hunt for shorts for my amazing wife!)

We are back all. We had a GREAT time at WDW. Rode the Seven Dwarf's Mine Train ride. It was great. Also, did the Kali River Rapids at Animal Kingdom. We got soaked, but we had a blast. Donna's birthday was Friday the 25th. We went to Be Our Guest Restaurant. What a beautiful restaurant. I can see why you need to book at the 60 day mark for this one. I got her flowers delivered to our room. They still look wonderful. We met up with Anne at Downtown Disney. She had a birthday badge personalized for Donna's birthday. It was fantastic. Thank you so much Anne. It was nice meeting you. Looking forward to meeting your DH on board the ship in September. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2
SSSOOOO - we thought the dishes were right, how about you??? Did you try the GREY STUFF???

So we are total geeks about packing - we have ALL our clothing pulled and folded, almost all the misc stuff pulled, wrapped and packed- we are only working on the last few items (unmentionables, and a few other small items). Two weeks from now we will actually start putting it all in the luggage - the Monday before we leave we will put everything in compression bags (protects the clothing from liquids that could land on the luggage - I have a few pieces of clothing that are stained blue from de-icer, so now I pack everthing in plastic bags even in summer) An idea for those who don't own or don't want the headache of compression bags - line the luggage with a garbage bag - pack the clothing inside that bag then tie it closed. We are almost done with our sail away shirts, our FE gifts are just about complete, and we only have a few things left to do!

...get our "oops" kit from storage (this contains all the little things one might need - like moleskin, sewing kits, wine slide, small packs of tide for sink washing, comb, tweezers, small sissors, bandaids, benadryl cream, headbands - you know all the "OMG I forgot WHAT??" stuff
...find our FE - seems we missed it on our last trip to our storage unit
...mail hold
...get to AAA for a book about Calif - we want to do some sight seeing on our drive from Anaheim
...find a small container of dark amber maple syrup (can't stand the junk they have on board - gonna bring the real deal!)

I wondered if that was the case. Thanks for clearing it up. I now have your party down for 5, and timbonz's down for 4.

See You Real Soon!

This is kinda' awesome and I thought I was the only freak who did stuff like this. My dad was born in Vermont and grew up in upstate New York. He's like the cheapest guy on the planet, except when it comes to maple syrup- then he's big spender. And he was also super anal retentive about "giving the kids sugar" (like to the point where I have stories to tell the nutritionist and she laughs. My big sugar cereal splurge is Frosted Mini Wheat squares.) except when it comes to maple syrup. None of that fake stuff, we had real syrup. And if he couldn't get real syrup, he just ate wheat toast. So I'm the same way. I wouldn't have thought to bring syrup with me. I am tempted to bring flavored coffee creamer (the powdered stuff).

So my folks are watching my dog, Tucker. My sister and brother in law are checking my cat daily (both have a copy of my house key- which I painted sparkly lime green, my favorite color). My neighbor across the street knows I will be gone so she's keeping an eye on my place. I am debating if I need to get a sleeping mask still.

Oh and it's super hot in Anacortes, WA (where I live. Small island in the middle of nowhere, Washington). It's all of 86 degrees. The bad part? My cottage doesn't have modern insulation. So when it gets hot here I bake. I maybe busting out the cruise clothes.

Oh, thanks! I haven't looked at Dress Barn. I found some cute tops at New York & Co. And some nice shorts at Lane Bryant.

Is the Group Palo Lunch still a go? :confused3
Is there a list?
Time?
Date?

Thanks

Robin & Angel "D". :thumbsup2

Since no one is doing the Chocolate Tasting - I'm starting a interest list to see if we have enough for a private group. The list is on the Facebook or send me a PM and I will add you to list. mmmm Chocolate :cloud9:
I am interested in the chocolate tasting also. Please add me to the list. Getting really excited about trip. I started making my FE gifts and should be finished by next Monday. Now to decide on a pirate costume.

There is, just awaiting confirmation of dates from DCL before sending out the list to everyone - :)

Does anyone, anyone at all know who davidshiz is? I've e-mailed, I've looked on FB, I've PM him here, I've even searched this forum for any posts he may have made - but NOTHING - and they've signed up to do the FE and I cannot get ANY response anywhere -

Any clues, help, etc? If I don't hear soon, I will have no choice but to take them off the list I guess..................

I just checked the thread post statistics, and "davidshiz" is not listed as ever having posted on this thread. Not sure what that means, but I'd guess he's probably not going to be on the cruise.

Hope that helps,
Richard

Yep, I did the same thing, Richard, and nada either - so, I guess they are not going - just wish they'd answer one way or another - frustrating....... :crazy2::crazy2::crazy2:

I found him on Cruise Critic on the Wonder Roll Call for Sept. 12 cruise. He hasn't posted anything since late 2013.

Sincere apologies if this has been asked/discussed already (this is one mighty busy thread!) ...

What are people (particularly non-US) doing about currency for the Mexico and Columbia excursions? I understand that the ship can exchange currency and wondered how their rates compared.

We aren't thinking of spending a lot of cash during those stops so I was thinking that taking US$ with us and then getting the ship to exchange as we need might be the most stress-free solution even if the rate isn't great?

Anyway - comments and thoughts welcome!

Thanks.

Philip

Were going to hsve the pj breakfast on the morning of september 23th around 8.30 9 am

Perfect! Thank you so much for organizing this! Yesterday our group was looking at fun footie/footed pjs with the bum flap then it occurred to me we're going to be in the middle of the Caribbean in the hottest time of the year: Nope. My Olaf t- shirt and yoga pants it is! I may rock the fun Doctor Who socks, but there's a big chance I'm not packing socks on this trip.
