Wonderful Panama Canal Sept 2014

Happy Fathers Day to all my fellow dads. My adult children got me Disney gift cards for Fathers Day the perfect gift. They know me so we'll.

:welcome::welcome::welcome:My dream job is being a nurse at Magic Kingdom putting bandaids on boo-boos. Do they even have those :confused3

:.
I had been thinking of being a nurse at Disneyland for a long time. But apparently Disneyland is in California and I refuse to leave my island in Washington and live back in Anacrime. Wait does that sound mean?

Greetings everybody! I'm Marcia. My husband Marcus and I will be cruising the Panama Canal this fall for our anniversary! Hubby and I got married on the Wonder in 2010. This will be my sixth Disney cruise (though I won't be gold until after this cruise because our Dream preview didn't count toward Castaway Club) and hubby's fourth. We're both Walt Disney World Cast Members who will be flying out for the cruise.

I want to :welcome::welcome::welcome: sillyspook,(Marcia & Marcus)< to the cruise. So glad y'all are joining us. WDW cast members huh, good for you. Someday when I grow up I hope to be a cast member. Got a couple of years to go yet!!! Ask Donna she'll tell you I am still only 12 years old!!! Anyway, Welcome aboard. :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2

Us too! It's gonna be a happening place!:dance3:

:cool1:

Us too, us too. I got in on a great deal saving $50 over our previous reservation at Porto Vista Hotel, but even as close as it is, I'm not sure that we can walk over with 4 large suitcases, 2 carry-ons, and purses :scratchin. May be a little overwhelming, but it's my understanding that they offer free shuttle service to the port and we will definetly be using the free shuttle service to the zoo on Thursday :dance3:.

:goodvibes

This is my first Disney cruise in over 10 years. Last I heard Palo brunch was $20. Went to book today and noticed it's now $25 - same price as dinner. Since they are the same price which one is best?

I personally think brunch is more impressive than dinner but they are both good. If I had to choose one it would be brunch.

Ok, have to ask: what is a "thread killer?"

A threadkiller is someone who posts the very last post on a thread and in effect therefore "kills" that thread because it slowly slips away and is never heard from again.

So there is an entire thread dedicated to being the last to post? Am I missing something?

Well at one point in time that was what it was all about just a fun and "fluffy" thread to help pass the time but it slowly transitioned into just being a bunch of us who posted on that thread and became really good friends. We always welcomed new people to join with us.

Most of those posters have been my friends for 10 plus years now. We are from all different areas ( I am from Canada, the rest are from different parts of the US). I have met most of them in person. Some of us have gone on 2 or more Disney Cruises together, got together in different groups of people at Disney over the years etc. If we just happen to be driving past someone's home area we get in contact and try and meet up for dinner. I count these people as among my very best friends.

Love that. We've also kept in contact with people we've met in our travels over the years. It's been so much fun!

Anyone have anything planned in Cabo that is not an official Disney excursion? Looking for advice or recommendations. Thanks!

We are going to a restaurant that was in "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives" that is in Cabo. It's like sushi and seafood. I'm a sucker for foodie adventures.

Hi, I am joining you all on this Wonderful cruise, along with 10 other friends and family, 9 of us first time cruisers!!!:cheer2:

We will likely take in one or two things near marina, possibly the beach club for lunch and quick swim. With tenders, we only have about 3.5 hrs~ not much time at all. Here are a couple of links that you might find helpful.

Hi Anne. We live in Florida as well, and are Annual Passholders to WDW. So, we are over there ALLOIT!!!. We always make a DTD stop everytime we are there, and the Christmas Shop is one of our favorites. We are always looking for a new Disney Christmas ornament for our tree every year. We are going over in July for Donna's ummmpteenth birthday. We will look to see if you are there when we visit in July, and stop by to say hi!!!

Looking forward to meeting you and Donna! (and will be happy to decorate a birthday button for her :) I work every day except Wednesdays and Thursdays so I should be around.
