Wonderful Panama Canal Sept 2014

Congrats on getting your excursions booked. :cool1::yay: One of the excursions we are interested in is pretty close to the same amount of time we are in port. We were not sure it would be offered. We'll have to see when we can book here in another couple of weeks.

I would be happy to look and see if it is being offered...

That is what I have done too Dee, let my TA know I am interested and for them to be on the look out for an Hawaii cruise itinerary in September 2015. Oh yes either a pre or post stay at Aulani would be in the works for us as well.

That would be great Karen if you, your DH and Dee would be going on this cruise as well. Sorta like a reunion!!!

Karen we have never sailed on Princess Cruise Lines. Are their itineraries for a September 2015 cruise out now? And how do they compare - cost wise - with Disney? Just wondering.

If the embarkation is Vancouver, we will probably opt for Princess. I just checked their site, and they have a 15-day round trip sailing on the Grand Princess from San Francisco September 25th 2015, which would be $5528 for the two of us for a balcony stateroom, or $4928 for an oceanview. If Disney is sailing from Vancouver, we'll undoubtedly opt for San Francisco with Princess. I love sea days, and there will be lots of them :cheer2:. I'll wait and see if it's really Vancouver for the Disney cruise, and what the itinerary is like before we make a final decision.

Feel free to PM me if you want to discuss Princess. I don't want to take up more space talking OT when we're getting ready to take our magical Disney cruise pixiedust:

That's very kind of you Stephanie, thank you. It is the "Historic Towns & Tequila Making" in Puerto Vallarta. I appreciate you dong this Stephanie. :worship:

No problem....yes, it is being offered. YOu get to go learn how to make tequila!!! :stir:

The one we wanted, Yalapa and Majahuitas, was not. Apparently my husband has decided on the City Tour to replace it. :)

Thank you, guess we are all set to book when we can. Again, thanks Stephanie.

We looked at the City Tour one too. But, when I saw tequila......................I didn't see anything else!!!:drinking1

Are you on this cruise as well? Maybe I missed prior posts~

Yes just booked 2 days. The 2013 EBPC crossing time table was my 2nd post. I thought it might me helpful to some. On my first crossing I was shocked at how early you had to get up but it was sooo worth it.

David,

There is also a tequila tasting shore excursion in Cozumel. It is a tour of the Jose Cuervo facility and includes a tasting of various Cuervo teqila and maurgheritas (spelling??).

We will be doing both as there MUST be a difference between east and west coast tequila....right? :duck:

Jimmy, I saw that...................DW nixed the idea of doing two tequila tastings.................................for the life of me I don't know why???!??:confused3 But we are doing the Jeep driving excursion in Cozumel, that should be allot of fun. Enjoy the both tastings!!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Just checked out the DCL Facebook page. I saw on there where DCL posted that next week they will be making waves with their Fall 2015 Itineraries. I hadn't checked their facebook page in a while, so this may have been posted a few days ago, and ya'll already know this. (I've noticed I've slowed down a step or two here lately!!! What's up with that!!!):confused3

We did this in Cozumel on our honeymoon in November and it was awesome! First part looking at the mini ruins wasn't much but once the tequila started it was great and some of the best Mexican food I've ever had!

Probably wouldn't be a good idea to do both the tequila tasting and Jeep driving excursions in Cozumel - huh??? Keep in mind now the Jeeps are 4 wheel drive, and are very capable of driving off the road!!! (And I would be off the road more then on it after the tequila!!!)

We did this in January as part of a B2B. As you said the ruins tour as well as the "museum" part was less than inspiring. Also there was the usual push to buy souveniors. However as you also said the food was pretty good, traditioanl mexican fare, the tasting was well done and DW really enjoyed the pole dance.

We were already planning a trip to Aulani in September next year, so fingers crossed we can add a cruise to that!

Our excursions list was well debated so hopefully they're available when the booking window opens for us. We loved Las Caletas(sp?) Hideaway last time and are keen to revisit it. This time with warmer waters since it won't be January!

Oh! You're gonna love the Aulani! I can't wait to get back! Except that I've got a bunch if different vacations planned so it'll take me years to get there. Ko Olina is the best place on Oahu.

That is what I'm hoping I can do for Donna and I next September, tie in a cruise and a stay at Aulani!!!:cool1::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: We've never been to Hawaii, but been on the ol' bucket list for decades now. Both our mom's always wanted to visit Hawaii and neither one of them got to see it. Donna's mom told her that it didn't look like she was going to be able to go, so she wanted Donna to go see it for both of them.

Got any other suggestions Steve of things to do and see while we would be there at Aulani? I'm not sure how long a stay I should book at Aulani. Are any of the excursions they offer there worth doing? We definitely want to go see Pearl harbor while on Oahu.

:dance3: well yes tinker and I snuck away just got back from the fantasy on the western 7 day.. It was wonderful. So what I have I missed.. And oh ya I have to book excursions now.. I'm late so any suggestions since I need to catch up.

Set aside a lot of time for Pearl Harbor. There's plenty to see and do there. If you're a naval hardware nut like me you'll want to see it all. Go early. There's two different luau's close to the Aulani. The one at the Marriott is supposed to be the best. We didn't go to that one because I had already purchased a luau package at Germaine's. But everyone raved about the Marriotts. I really didn't care for the Polynesian cultural center. And Honolulu is just ugly. Such a let down after being in the beautiful Ko Olina. Rent a car and drive all over the island. Particularly the east coast. WOW! Check out the Kalua ranch jungle tour or the movie tour. We loved that. There is a full run down on our experiences on our travel blog.

Like Karen said, I too read on here somewhere that Disney was going to release the fall itineraries for 2015 sometime next week. Has anyone else heard this? Does anyone have any plans of cruising in the fall of 2015? I think Donna and I are planning to go then. Not sure to what itinerary as yet. Waiting to see what Disney has planned and are offering. We want to get back on the Magic here sometime soon, and check her out since her refurb. But, we'll take what we can get and sounds interesting. Maybe Hawaii, maybe Western Caribbean, maybe a Transatlantic, so many options, so many choices..................................oh I'm soooooooo confused!!!:confused3 Decisions, decisions, decisions!!!!

:confused3 we will be doing yo ebta..can't wait so excited, but I need to focus on the Panama Canal first.
