Wonderful Panama Canal Sept 2014

Super excited:banana:Just booked this awesome adventure!! I'm interested in participating in the FE. I went to 1ST page and filled out the Google Doc Form.
Do I need to do anything else? I also need help with transportation from the airport to the cruise terminal, I am Flying in the morning of the cruise with a 10:30 am arrival time. All suggestions are welcomed. This will be my 3rd Panama Crossing (EB & WB in 2013). My very 1st Disney cruise was on the Wonder and she holds a special place in my heart. Looking forward to meeting everyone and HAPPY CRUSING!!!!

I would like to :welcome::welcome::welcome: you CruzOle to the cruise. So glad ya'll are joining us. This is going to be one GREAT cruise. Again, welcome aboard!!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I haven't said anything but on the excursions list, it says if your diabetic, you can't participate in the excursion. I'm on oral meds and injectable Byetta twice a day. I could probably get a note from my endocrinologist stating it's under control. I've never has any kind of issue in all the years I've been diagnosed with it....oh well....guess I'll have to find something else. They don't have that restriction on the 12metre regatta race excursion.

Strange that some are and some aren't. Worth a call to see why the restriction.

Were im looking for one to have my birthday dinner

Made final payment for the trip. Now we have to wait until June 14 to book our excursions, etc. Only one excursion we're interested in, and that's the America's Cup Challenge 12-meter Yacht Race we did in Cozumel in March when we were there on our Princess cruise. It was such a blast we can't wait to book it again!

Now that we've got this cruise paid for, and the next one (March 2015 family cruise to the Caribbean on the Magic) booked, we're looking ahead to September of 2015. I really, really want to go to Hawaii and hope that the rumors are true that Disney is going to be going there again next year. I understand the rest of the 2015 itinerary is due to be released next week, so we'll find out if it's true or not. It's a toss up whether we'll book Disney for it or book a Princess one. Dates, length of cruise, and embarkation/debarkation ports will dictate which we choose. I love the Wonder, and would look forward enthusiastically to sailing on her again, but I don't want to be stuck having to go to Vancouver or fly home from there. Been there done that when we did the Alaska cruise last August. I'd much rather deal with Los Angeles or San Diego ports.

I'm itching to get packing for this cruise. I bought my dry cleaner bags for packing, and am looking forward to seeing how they work. I've been accumulating a few things for my cruise wardrobe..... thinking "cool" in my choices. It's never too early to plan ahead...... that's my motto :)

Like Karen said, I too read on here somewhere that Disney was going to release the fall itineraries for 2015 sometime next week. Has anyone else heard this? Does anyone have any plans of cruising in the fall of 2015? I think Donna and I are planning to go then. Not sure to what itinerary as yet. Waiting to see what Disney has planned and are offering. We want to get back on the Magic here sometime soon, and check her out since her refurb. But, we'll take what we can get and sounds interesting. Maybe Hawaii, maybe Western Caribbean, maybe a Transatlantic, so many options, so many choices..................................oh I'm soooooooo confused!!!:confused3 Decisions, decisions, decisions!!!!

We are doing the EBTA in May 2015. We love the new itinerary. We were originally looking at doing the Hawaii one if it was offered, but this one called our names. It was also (at the time) a great deal! Now the prices has risen astronomically! So glad we got in on the 'ground floor' so to speak.

There are a lot of our fellow EBPC on the EBTA as well! Should be interesting!

Excursions booked except for Puerto Vallarta because the one we were interested in does not show up. I'm thinking its because its a long one and we aren't in port long enough? :confused3

Anyway, we got everything else we wanted and at the times we were after! Might try to grab another brunch once we are on board....other than that, I'm pretty happy! ;)

Disney Wonder to return to Hawaii in 2015?
by Leah Zanolla
May 14, 2014

An article posted on the Disney Cruise Line Blog this week is speculating that the Disney Wonder may be returning to Hawaii in 2015. The site has noted that the Hawaii port calendars have September 2015 dates marked off for a 965-foot ship called the "Inchscape Special." The Disney Wonder is 964 feet long and the company's shipping agent is Inchscape Shipping Services.

The Disney Wonder actually showed up on September 7, 2015 on the Honolulu port calendar, but was quickly removed. Now, the "Inchscape Special" is listed at Hilo on September 13, Nawiliwili Harbor on Kauai on September 14, Kahului on Maui on September 15-16 and Honolulu on September 16-18, 2015.

Disney Cruise Line itineraries are currently out through August 2015.

Congrats on getting your excursions booked. :cool1::yay: One of the excursions we are interested in is pretty close to the same amount of time we are in port. We were not sure it would be offered. We'll have to see when we can book here in another couple of weeks.

Yep, there's plenty of chatter and speculation for Hawaii and it's looking like next week it will be confirmed! It's expected that there will be two one-way trips (10days each) rather than a return, so Aulani could be a pre or post cruise option. We have our travel agent poised and ready as soon as they are announced and then we'll see how hard we better get saving!
Hopefully here's the link to the blog......

We may be joining you, David :-). Depending on which port is used for embarkation.... and the price, of course. While we love Disney, we also love Princess, and we'll have to compare the two options before we make a final choice. If we embark from San Francisco, San Diego, or L.A, that will definitely put Disney in the running :), and we'll book right away to hold our place. We love the Wonder, and I would be thrilled to be able to sail on her again a year from September. Then again, there are things we absolutely love on the Princess ships, too....not the least of which are is the International Cafe :). So it really will be tough to decide if, all things being equal, they come out to be about the same price. Disney would edge Princess out if we were going with family, but it'll just be the two of us, Princess is definitely in the running, and we have future cruise credits with them. We've used our DCL onboard booking credit on our March 2015 cruise, so we won't have that advantage for a September 2015 cruise, and by the time we go on the Panama cruise, it would be obliterated by the rise in price, so no point waiting until we're onboard to book.

Can't WAIT to see the rest of the DCL itineraries. I'll be haunting their site until they show up!

Karen

That is what I have done too Dee, let my TA know I am interested and for them to be on the look out for an Hawaii cruise itinerary in September 2015. Oh yes either a pre or post stay at Aulani would be in the works for us as well.

That would be great Karen if you, your DH and Dee would be going on this cruise as well. Sorta like a reunion!!!

Karen we have never sailed on Princess Cruise Lines. Are their itineraries for a September 2015 cruise out now? And how do they compare - cost wise - with Disney? Just wondering.
