Wonderful Couples-Only stay at POFQ

We returned on Sunday from a wonderful stay at POFQ --- met two other couples that were great (all of us no-kids) -- S&S from Rhode Island (hiya Disney Suzy - send me an email ) and V&C from Manchester, UK.

Lovely afternoons visiting at Mardi Grogs and a fabulous Friday night roaming Epcot, enjoying adult beverages at American Pavillion, and returning to POFQ for Elliot's music and pizza.

Just wanted to say that as a frequent visitor to WDW - the thing that makes it so wonderful for us is the relaxation and that really wonderful people that we meet there.

Hi DAniece---Nice to hear about another POFQ satisfied customer! It's next on my list of resorts to try. Couple of questions--how were the crowds, both at the resort and at the parks, and how does POFQ compare to all of the other places you've stayed?

This past week was our 8th (maybe 7th) stay at POFQ. We're particularly fond of it b/c of the people that we meet there.

Crowds at the resort - no problem -
Crowds at the parks - no problem -
Must keep in mind that we're early risers and go to the parks and do our thing before it begins to get crowded. This trip was different in that we actually went out in the evenings more than usual.

If I had to put a REASON on why we prefer POFQ, it would be the cast members, not all of them are great - however, we've become friends with a few of them (some have been relocated at POR), AND it would be the other people we meet at Mardi Grogs.

Other resorts on our list of "preferred" places to stay -- Swolphin, Animal Kingdom Lodge, POR, Caribbean Beach Resort...
Each for different reasons
Swolphin - we're Starwood Preferred Guests, we like the location and we've had generally good service there
Animal Kingdom Lodge - just feels like another world, CMs are really good, like Mara, like Zawadi, transportation good
POR - very similar to POFQ, like landscaping, like atmosphere, works well for us (and we thought we'd never like the Port Orleans resorts b/c we're southern bred and born)
Caribbean Beach - like the location, we can walk to Disney Studios and Epcot, like the quiet pools (also like those at POR), like atmosphere
Coronado Springs (not on list, mainly b/c of food court) - we loved this place the first 2 times we stayed there, not so much on 3rd visit - reason = Pepper Market, resort is georgous, landscaping is fabulous, CMs (particularly Mousekeeping) is very good

I agree. We just got back from our honeymoon at POFQ. It was quiet and romantic, and we loved the themeing!
