Wonder who's on the 10/2/03 Wonder?

OK, there's got to be more people on this cruise than I am aware of. If you are sailing on the 3 night cruise October 2, 2003, please come out of the closet and sign in! We'd love to meet you.

My party will be me and DS (almost 4) from Upstate SC,
Brother, Mom and Dad from STL. We've got two rooms.

We'll be there with you. Our party consists of me, DH and DD (11); my parents; my sister and BIL; my BIL's son, wife and DD (6); also my brother and SIL. 5 cabins. We're all very excited--we cruised together last October. I want to make it an annual event!

Our party has four adults.
This will be our third cruise. We did the 3 day in December 2001 with a land package. Took a 7 day March 2003. Taking this 3 day for our 20th anniversary. Not sure what room or deck we are on. Have GTY 11's but have not got room assigned yet. Plus we are leaving the four kids at home.
Friends ask us why we would do Disney with no kids. WHY ASK WHY.
Other 2 adults are my cousin and his new bride. They are getting married the weekend before the cruise and she doesn't know anything about the cruise.

Maybe the others on our cruise are some of those that don't want others knowing who they are.

Our group (4 adults) will be above the goofy pool on deck 10 starboard side (side facing cruise terminal) right before the sailaway party. We bring bubbles to blow at the party. Most of the time we are the only adults (along with our kids) blowing bubbles and looking stupid until we find some children and pass our bubbles to them. This time we will look even worse cause our kids will be home.

We are on deck 2 and have late dinner. Flying from Kansas City to Orlando on the 2nd. Going to the Port in a LIMO. None of us have ever been in a limo so we are very excited.

Who did you book your cruise through? We booked with DU. Post when you get your documents.

Congrats Padre Disney! Hello Bev! Hope you have a wonderful cruise. You will love it being an adults only cruise. I haven't been on the board much because of our boating season but with school starting next week I will be cruising the board more often. What teacher does Leah have? Steph has Miss. Klinge. It is hard to believe our babies are in 6th grade!!! Then again, I have 3 in college, ouch. Kathy

My son is 3 as well - will be 2 months shy of 4 on the cruise.
I can't wait to see his reaction as we drive up to the ship!! I'm definitely bringing the videocamera.

What deck are you on? What a great surprise!!!!! Have you cruised with DCL before?

We did have 2 cat 11's but got upgrades and now have 2 cat 9's on deck 2.

Started packing last night. Can't wait. Well all except for the flying thing. I hate it and would much rather drive but can't take that much time off.

I noticed on another thread that someone on the 9/25 sailing (1 week before us) has already gotten his documents.

First cruise we got ours about 6 weeks out (booked with DCL)
Second cruise got ours about 3 weeks out (booked with DU)

7 weeks from today we will be CRUISING!!!!!!!

Padre Disney:First time with DCL... cruised Carnival a few years back and DH cruised Royal Carr. before we got married we Dont have assignments yet I litterally just booked this afternoon last minute decision. We will also be driving and should be booked for Cat 11 or better unfortunately since late booking I could only get late dinner what are the odds of getting in for early eats???

and nope no relativesin FLA DH and I are both big planners so this will catch him off guard probably blow his mind I actually just made the decision this week . I know that I will not be able to keep it from him for very long due to scheduling at work etc. he will have to make sure things are covered for him. I cant wait to see his reaction as much as DS lol he's a big kid himself

I am in Greenville, SC. (Simpsonville actually, just outside Greenville). I have actually been to Matthews NC on business (at CEM. Know the place?) I was just in outside Charlotte last weekend at Carowinds.

Hmm, you could make up a good excuse to go to FL so that he takes off work but keep the cruise from him until the last minute. Tell him you're going to WDW or something! Are you coming into FL early? We are spending a day at Sea World first. DS will love that too! We are flying into Orlando. It's too long of a drive for just me and DS.

I hear you can request a change in dining room seating when you get there and the odds are fairly decent. I think I personally would like late seating better, but no way my son will stay awake that long. I booked only about two weeks ago and got early seating.

Anyway, can't wait for this cruise. It is going to be the longest 7 weeks!

Funny, there are only 4 of us who will admit to being on the 10/2 cruise, and 3 of us are from the Carolinas. We live about 1 1/2hrs from Charlotte. We're flying, and also in a CAt 11--I've never cruised without a veranda, so I hope its going to be OK. Besides, I figure if i like it, that just means we can afford more cruises, sooner! see you on board.

fyreworks :I dont Dh would ever go for that lol like I said we are big planners usually lots of time in advance so he would know something is up plus we just added an addition to our home this summer and of course we were over budget and also just got back from a week at the beach last month so dh thinks we dont have and "disposable income" he doesnt know that I received some $$ this week from a great aunt who passed away over six years ago (long story lol) and since I didnt know I was getting it we dont have any plans for it and I thought I would surprise him I'm sure my Aunt would say "Go and have some fun" so ......I am lol . I cant imagine driving all that way just me and ds either I dont blame you I have a cousin who does it with two kids from CT to NC a couple of times a year lol not me whew what a task my nerves would be way gone.
We are still planning on driving (flying is just not in the budget if I am going to pull this off at such short notice) although I am working on some frequent flyer miles etc so that may change but it sure would be a lot easier

Nice to talk to you also NCredding the last cruise I was on Carnival, I was surprised to see one of my best friends moms whom I didnt even know was going on the same cruise

cant wait also but I really think it's going to be more exciting to see dh's face when I tell him we are going

I got my documents last night! I almost didn't see it because they mailed it UPS and left it as a package on my front door step, which I don't check on a regular basis. Luckily I saw another package there that was a little bigger than that box!

I am so excited. I called my parents in STL but they haven't gotten theirs yet. It'll probably be a few more days. I paid earlier than they did. All the plans are coming together. We've booked the rental car and will book a hotel room tonight for the days pre-cruise.

Anyone else got theirs yet? Tammy, if you haven't already told your DH and can intercept the mail, you could gift wrap the box as a surprise!

Great for you! I still havent told him yet He's actally going to Orlando this weekend on business so I figured I would work on my "Method" then lol I did find the cutest scrapbooking thingy at my Dollar Tree it's a vacation set and one of the die-cuts is a ship with three port holes for 3 pics it's so cute and perfect for making an announcement I'll put our pics in it now and later replace with actual ones from the trip

btw I havent had time to look around on the boards what is the usual dress code for this trip any formal nights etc???

There aren't any formal nights on the 3 night Wonder. Tritons recommends a jacket for men, and dress or pantsuit for women. Palo is also jacket recommended. The other restaurants are casual, with no shorts or jeans.

Just got our documents
BUT we only got docs for me and DH. The docs for my cousin and his bride were not in our packet

My cousin is getting married the weekend before the cruise and has not told his bride to be about the cruise. She has no idea what is going on. We have taken care of the whole booking process so she would not find out. He even has her work time off scheduled with her boss who is keeping the whole thing a secret.

I just hop we find out where the docs are going so we can get them before she see's them.

Plus I was hoping the docs would come here cause I have not told my cousin that we got upgraded to the cat 9's. They had wanted a window room the whole time but decided not to spend the extra $$$. He will be soooo surprised when he finds out we both have windows.
We were not going to tell them about the upgrade until we were in the limo on our way to the ship.

Would DCL be able to tell me were the docs are being sent even though we booked through DU?

I think we are all going to dress nice for Tritons even without the formal night because it's a great opportunity for a family picture.
