Wonder, Waves and Wishes. 18th October 2009. Remembering the waves!

I am also trying to take Scottish items for the FE, I have also got minature bottles of Scotch Whisky.:yay: I need to go and get some items for the children.
I have booked the glass bottom boat tour. Has anyone done that before?

That would be neat. I also thought about bourbon balls, but again... the melting.

Hey this is one of the daughters and I'm actually turning 21 on the 17th of October so if you wanna bring me some to celebrate that would be amazing!

That's my mom's birthday too!!! I'll see what I can do on the whiskey. Has anyone close to KY had an Ale 8-1? That's a KY soft drink.

My dad is addicted to Ale-8! I'm a Mt Dew drinker myself...and they just are not the same. I think Ale-8 is an 'acquired taste'.

If anyone sees this post (just found out about it myself) - you can join a site called fatwallet.com and today only they have 6% cash back when you purchase anything from the Disneystore.com site. It INCLUDES gift certificates! I called Disney and they said that the cruise line WILL take the gift certificates to settle your onboard account, which can also include your tips, so I ordered $1,000 worth of gift certificates - we're also staying at WDW for a few days after...hope this is enough! But - we get $60 back in cash - and that pays for the back to school supplies - so I figure if we're going to spend it anyway, might as well get a bit back for it!

Heather, where are you from? Yes, Ale-8 is a bit of an acquired taste, but I LOVE it. I intentionally do not buy it b/c it's ""addictive":guilty:

I've just ordered my Fish Extender from ebay.

Just so I have an idea, how much should you roughly spend on a gift? I intend to do a gift per cabin as I only have limited luggage space and we are staying 18 days.

71 days!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm from Nebraska - there's nothing but football here - not sure that'd fit in the FE. LOL!!! :)

Lol we have the same issue... all we have are the Steelers, Heinz Ketchup, and the Penguins... not sure that much ketchup would survive the journey and I don't think footballs and hockey pucks would fit either

I ordered the rest of my FE gifts yesterday I think and have spent around £8 per cabin. It depends if they have children in them or just adults.
When will we know the exact numbers of people doing the FE. I will have to have them all organised by the end of next week as school is back a week Tuesday with us (back to work) and I won't have much time after that?

I do not have a set price. I just kinda throw some stuff in there. Are all the people on the first page participating???

I am making something handmade then store bought stuff too. My kids just love dropping the stuff off at peoples cabins. Last year we got everything from dry erase boards to just bags of candy. It does not really matter what is in there.

This is how behind I am. We JUST applied for passports on Friday. I still haven't booked a room near the port for the night before. I haven't made my FE, the FE gifts or the tees I want to make for the cruise. I haven't done any other planning, at all.

I'm in bad shape!

Anyone know of a cheap place to stay near the port with a cruise package? We don't need ambiance or an ocean view, just a pool for the kids to play in, a place to sleep and stash our car.

Thanks!

Hi everyone. Havent been on for awhile. I am sad to say we are delaying our cruise until next October. While I am sad no cruise this year there is a better side to this. My son is entering the Disney College program in a couple weeks so we have decided that we would rather spend a couple vacations just at WDW while he is there then take the cruise this year. The other good news is we extended our cruise to 7 nights next October.

Everyone I know you will have an amazing time. The cruise is just ...oh what can I say...magical is just the right word for it. Have a great time with the fish extenders...they are so much fun even us old people loved it. I pray for great weather for your cruise and hope you all have as good of time as we did on our last cruise.

Throw some confetti for us :goodvibes

We live in Columbus, Ohio - my dad lives in Lexington, KY! We make the trip a few times a year. Lexington is a nice city!

How many cabins are taking part?

I think we have a list a couple of pages back that Matthewsmom1 gave us. I am going by that for now, unless someone else gets on the list in the next three weeks. We also have some store bought and handmade stuff. It'll be kind of a miscellaneous baggie of gifts. Maybe some candy too for filler. Is everyone giving something for everyone's FE "pocket" or a baggie for everyone to share that goes in one pocket?

Last year we did one baggie for each room but we do not have nearly as many people signed up. What I might do is a bag for adults then a special bag for kids.

We also need to get room numbers next to names. I like to preput those on the bags so it is done and I just pick them up and go.

That's me too - a hodge-podge of gifts is what I'm ending up with. LOL!! :)

Just to be certain you have it right -- it's KYLIE, not Kyle in the William, Amber, Kylie, Kobi group. Thanks so much! She'd probably die if someone called her Kyle! :) You know 9 year olds!

Oh we hate to hear that you all won't be there, but completely understand. What an opportunity for everyone!!

Got it! :) Wouldn't want your poor daughter to be turned into a boy! :)
