Wonder to Alaska August 24th 2015

We got back last week from the Aug. 25 Alaska Cruise. We had such a great time that we rebooked onboard for this cruise. It will be me, DH and DD12. This will be our 12th Disney Cruise.

We just got back from Alaska on the 8/25 cruise as well! we did the helicopter and dogsled in Skagway, which was honestly one of the coolest things we've ever done! Amazing! Also, the deadliest catch tour in ketchican was great! Lot of fun!

We did Whale Watching with Adventures in Alaska in Juneau and had a great time. Captain Alan was wonderful. We saw many Humpback Whales, sea lions, seals, Bald Eagles and Orcas! I highly recommend them. We ate at Randy's Rib Shack, which is a cute little place with picnic tables to eat outside. They have the best pulled pork and baked beans. The servings were pretty large too. We also did some shopping in Caribou Crossings, which is owned by Captain Alan's wife. There is a lot of very nice merchandise in this store.

In Skagway, we booked with Chilkoot Charters and did the Yukon Bus & Rail Excursion With 15-Minute Dogcart Ride and lunch. It was lots of fun. My daughter loved playing with the puppies too. Another tour I highly recommend. If you do this, don't forget to get your passports stamped in Fraser and Caribou Crossing.

We just walked around in Ketchikan and did some shopping. We ate at Crab Cracker Seafood Bar. I had a crab melt and bowl of clam chowder, and it was delicious. We also walked to the Totem Heritage Center, which was ok. Next time we're going to go toTotem Bight State Park. I heard some good things about that place so we'll check it out. I got a pretty opal necklace on Creek Street and pretty "Northern Lights" earrings.

We just booked today! It will be our first cruise! Grandma, Grandpa, DH and DD (5) and DD (3)! I'm so excited!

On the Aug 25 cruise we did the Takshanuk 4X4 adventure out of Skagway. I really really enjoyed it and the family thought is was a near perfect excursion. It was great that it left a bit later in the day to permit us to poke about a bit early in the day.

In Juneau we wandered a bit on our own. The highlights were the Mt. Roberts tram and lunch at Tracy's Crab Shack.

We also did the Deadliest Catch Crab Boat in Ketchikan after a bit of shopping (we arrived early in town so got off the boat earlier than was initially expected)

I've lost count of how many of the 25thers have now booked for the 24th next year?

Hi, I'm new to the boards but I have signed up specifically to take part in a fish extender group and I think you have been running this group?
This will be our 2nd cruise and there is me, Claire 31, hubby sean 34 and daughter Maddison 7.
Is there space for us to join?We are in cabin 6628.
We are in vancouver for 3 days before and plan to go out on a whale watch tour who look out for a pod of orcas and then we are having a few days in whistler after before the long flight back.
So excited, we loved the Dream in June so much we knew we needed to do a 7 night and seeing Alaska just sold it for us, booked it pretty much a month after we got back :yay:

Absolutely! I'll add you!!!!! Welcome!!!!!!!!!!

Just found this thread. DW and I were on the Dream 10/02-10/05/14 for our 1st DCL cruise and enjoyed it so much that we booked this Wonder 8/24/15 Alaska cruise while on board. We were able to get a cat 5C room (#6032) with a verandah. We are really looking forward to this cruise and hope you DCL vets can help us decide on our shore excursions. I think DCL is as addictive as "addonitis" is with DVC because we are already looking at the Jan-Apr, 2016 cruises just announced this week!! :scared1:

My husband and I are excited to bring our three kids on their first Alaska Disney Cruise. This will be our fourth Disney, but first to these ports. We would love to be part with this group with the fish extenders on this cruise with our 3 kids (B14, G12, B9).
