Wonder Returns to Galveston - November 6, 2015

Are you able to text a wave phone with the app? I have a smart phone and so does my son, so we could use the app, but my daughter does not. If she has a wave phone will I be able to text her?
Since the app didn't have the text feature last year and the wave phones are old, I am going to say no. I think the only thing the wave phones were good for was just to call another wave phone. I could be mistaken though, maybe they updated the wave phones?

The wave phones we used on our last 2 cruises could text each other. It was great being able to check on the kids, or meet up for things. I think it depends on the software for the app, if it has the ability to route the message to the hub that sends the wave phone messages it may be able to work. But I'm really not sure, as it depends on how they have set up their technology.

See, don't listen to me, I had no clue. The phones didn't leave their chargers on the last cruise, we just all seemed to be together or found each other easily :grouphug:.

Hello!! This is going to be our first Disney cruise, yay! I wanted to know what I need to do to join the fish extender thing. I'm really excited about it, but not sure what to do.

:welcome:Gideon13. All I need to know is who is in the cabin, ages of kids (if any), stateroom # and any allergies. Example - Mom, Dad, DD or DS (daughter or son). Any other info is up to you, such as fave characters or celebrating anything on board. If you would like to keep the info private, you can pm me when you have posted 10 times. Feel free to just post a # in each post here until you reach 10. Page 11, post 210(?) shows who is in the FE group currently minus stateroom numbers. I will either email or pm (your choice) the list with cabin numbers when we close it at 10/15 cabins and start the next group. This thread is checked daily, so feel free to ask any questions as I am sure one of us will have the answer.

Ok thanks. I'll try to pm you

We are sailing on the Disney Wonder and have been hearing a lot about using cards to keep the lights on. All I can find is that this is on the Dream and Fantasy ships, but may be coming to the Wonder. If anyone knows if this is used on the Wonder I'd be grateful for any advice. Thanks

Can I do the # in the thread or do I have to do 10 different posts?
You can do the # in different posts. Under your name it says messages and right now you are at 4 posts. When you get to 10, you can pm me or if it is easier I can start the pm to you and all you have to do is respond.

As far as I know it is not on the Magic or Wonder, but I haven't been on either for a couple years. One of the others will come along and correct me if I am wrong though. If it was, all you have to do is use a KTTW card and park it in the switch to activate the lights while you are in the room. When you leave the room, grab the card on your way out as the switch is right by the door.

Thank you so much. Yes if you could pm me that would be great

I sent you a pm, so when you login your inbox should show a 1. If that doesn't work, click on my name in a post and one of the options is to start a conversation.

I don't think so. The app works independently of the wave phone as far as I know. For the app, you have to link the various devices you want to be able to communicate to each other. So, for example, I signed in on my ipad and the app assigned me a number. My sister signed in, and added that number to her app and it send me the link to accept her request and linked the two devices. You can have multiple devices linked together, we had 4 total.
