No, the list is still holding at only 7:guilty: I guess we are not a popular cruise.

This link will take you to printable maps of the Wonder in case anyone was looking for one. You can print out up to 5 decks (I think) at a time or the whole ship. For those who are in the FE and need to know where the rooms are, this is helpful. Also, for any first time cruisers, this will show you what is where on the ship. If anybody has any other questions, just post them and someone will reply.:-)

I have been reading all the above post. How do I sign up for the Fish Extender group? I would love to do something like this with my girls?

:welcome: Hi! Huskiesrule is organizing the FE for our cruise. She's really good about responding promptly, so I'm sure she'll let you know how to join the FE group!

Yep, everyone in this group is on the Nov 6th cruise out of Galveston! Can't wait! Lots of really nice people on our cruise, so feel free to ask any questions you may have.

BTW I wanted to give a big :thanks: to our FE organizer - thanks so much for doing such a great job, I really appreciate it!

:welcome:To sign up for the FE I need some info from you. We are keeping most of the info private so if you could get your posts up to 10, I can PM you. Feel free to post on here to get your count up or use http://www.disboards.com/forums/test-board.88/
You can post your info here if you would like, but it will not be private. All I need is who is in the room (DD for daughter etc. - see post above for reference), ages of children, stateroom #, any allergies and favorite characters if you want that added. Also, you will need to let me know your preferred method of receiving the list when it is closed, usually an email address or I will PM it.

Thanks, though I really haven't had to do much as we are such a quiet group. On a happier note, the phone app says only 65 more days! It feels like it is taking forever(cue the drama:car: are we there yet, how much further along with some heavy sighs from kids)

:cool1::cool1::cool1: Woo Hoo - can't wait!!!!

On a different note, I don't know why I'm coming into this so late, but I'm starting to be a bit worried about hurricane season! For you native Texans, what is the weather like in November?

It' s our first too!!! Super excited. I second that about the FE organizer, she's been awesome!!!!! Everyone has been so helpful, and nice.

When do people usually go to the door and leave the item/ items... ?

I don't live in Texas, but when we did the Magic out of Galveston a couple years ago the weather was perfect. I like November cruises as they are at the end of the hurricane season and not as hot as a summer cruise. Now the real reason I love sailing out of Galveston are the dolphins! Take time to look at the water during the sail away party as the dolphins are playing along side the boat as we go out.

As to delivering gifts, whenever you want. I have only been caught once and that was by someone else delivering, so it doesn't count.

For anyone who is planning to upgrade at the port, I will have a dry erase board on my door so you can put your new stateroom # for the other FE participants to see. Your other option would be to go to all the cabins and leave a note with your FE stating you changed rooms.

Now hopefully everyone who is not local is coming in at least a day early. I have done cruises where you fly into the airport on the day of the cruise and the stress is awful. What if something happens and you are delayed and miss the cruise? Not worth it to me, but everyone is different.:thumbsup2

I live a little under 2 hours North of Galveston. Texas in November is rather bi polar. Usually it doesn't start to get colder until after Thanksgiving. Last year at Halloween we were still wearing tank tops and shorts. I think this is the perfect time to go... wont be hot and humid like it usually is from April to September in Texas.

As far as hurricanes, I think we are safe in November. September has always been the most active month for the gulf I think. However... still saying a little prayer for us!

To all of the first time cruisers, remember motion sickness pills/patches/bracelet or whatever you think will work. I have never had an issue, but I always have Dramamine just in case. Better to be over prepared and not get seasick:sick: Also sunscreen and sunburn items as the price you will pay on the ship is higher than on land. Which is the case for pretty much any medication, so remember to pack it all in a carry on.

We are officially up to 8!:grouphug:

Oooh - where's the best best viewing area? Are they usually out front or on the sides? I'm thinking Deck 10 would be a good spot.

You just made my DD(13) very excited! She always gets excited to see other kids her age on the cruise. :cloud9:

Great advice! They do have some things onboard but it's limited and not cheap! Also although I haven't used/validated this, I have read that the Medical facilities does have single packets of Meclizine (Bonine ingredient) for free, if you need something in a pinch. I swear by Bonine. Remember it's better to take it before rather than after you're not feeling well. I usually take it at bedtime starting a day or two before we sail. Also, for a quick fix when feeling a bit queasy, a crew member on another cruise line told me about green apples. I was amazed at how well they worked.
