Thanks, though I really haven't had to do much as we are such a quiet group. On a happier note, the phone app says only 65 more days! It feels like it is taking forever(cue the dramaBTW I wanted to give a bigto our FE organizer - thanks so much for doing such a great job, I really appreciate it!

On a different note, I don't know why I'm coming into this so late, but I'm starting to be a bit worried about hurricane season! For you native Texans, what is the weather like in November?

It' s our first too!!! Super excited. I second that about the FE organizer, she's been awesome!!!!! Everyone has been so helpful, and nice.
To sign up for the FE I need some info from you. We are keeping most of the info private so if you could get your posts up to 10, I can PM you. Feel free to post on here to get your count up or use http://www.disboards.com/forums/test-board.88/
You can post your info here if you would like, but it will not be private. All I need is who is in the room (DD for daughter etc. - see post above for reference), ages of children, stateroom #, any allergies and favorite characters if you want that added. Also, you will need to let me know your preferred method of receiving the list when it is closed, usually an email address or I will PM it.
Oooh - where's the best best viewing area? Are they usually out front or on the sides? I'm thinking Deck 10 would be a good spot.I don't live in Texas, but when we did the Magic out of Galveston a couple years ago the weather was perfect. I like November cruises as they are at the end of the hurricane season and not as hot as a summer cruise. Now the real reason I love sailing out of Galveston are the dolphins! Take time to look at the water during the sail away party as the dolphins are playing along side the boat as we go out.
I live a little under 2 hours North of Galveston. Texas in November is rather bi polar. Usually it doesn't start to get colder until after Thanksgiving. Last year at Halloween we were still wearing tank tops and shorts. I think this is the perfect time to go... wont be hot and humid like it usually is from April to September in Texas.
You're making me feel much better... Crossing my fingers the weather is nice.As far as hurricanes, I think we are safe in November. September has always been the most active month for the gulf I think. However... still saying a little prayer for us!
You just made my DD(13) very excited! She always gets excited to see other kids her age on the cruise.Chelsea Woodcock - no food/drink allergies

Great advice! They do have some things onboard but it's limited and not cheap! Also although I haven't used/validated this, I have read that the Medical facilities does have single packets of Meclizine (Bonine ingredient) for free, if you need something in a pinch. I swear by Bonine. Remember it's better to take it before rather than after you're not feeling well. I usually take it at bedtime starting a day or two before we sail. Also, for a quick fix when feeling a bit queasy, a crew member on another cruise line told me about green apples. I was amazed at how well they worked. To all of the first time cruisers, remember motion sickness pills/patches/bracelet or whatever you think will work. I have never had an issue, but I always have Dramamine just in case. Better to be over prepared and not get seasickAlso sunscreen and sunburn items as the price you will pay on the ship is higher than on land. Which is the case for pretty much any medication, so remember to pack it all in a carry on.
