Has anyone had experience with booking a person in one stateroom and actually had them sleep in a different one? We'll have 2 staterooms and 6 total people, but the family of 4 wants the NV and the other wants an inside. Can we book one person from the party of 4 in the room with 2 people and actually have her sleep in the NV room? She would be sleeping in the parents bed and wouldn't need her own bunk. I wasn't sure if cast members would pitch a fit if they found out the sleeping arrangements.

Gosh I hope this makes sense... booking tomorrow!

As long that the family isn't concerned by not having a separate sleeping space for the child, then it's fine to do this. There are a couple things to keep in mind. If the inside stateroom and the Cat 7A stateroom have different muster stations, the child booked in the inside stateroom will be assigned to the muster station for the inside stateroom. She would have to attend the muster drill with the people booked in the inside stateroom.

Secondly, there will be additional paperwork to be signed so that the child can exit the ship with her parents. Otherwise, she will only be allowed to exit the ship with the adults from the stateroom she is booked in.

Wow - thanks. Hadn't thought for a second about the muster drill or the leaving of the ship. all good points.

And, most importantly, if there is an actual emergency in the middle of the night, the child will need to report to her muster station or they will be sending people all over the ship looking for her.

Thankfully, the parents in question opted to move to an inside room and make the entire issue moot. Whew!
