WONDER May 20, 2007

I thought I would be smart and stay at SSR the night before. Now I find out the DCL bus doesn't leave there until 12:45...Now I won't be there until 3 or something....:confused3 It just sounded so much easier to park my butt on the bus and let them do the driving.....

We are staying at the CBR and are being picked up at 1245pm also. I am kind of worried about this as I have always been one to get to the terminal early in the day. I like walking around the ship for awhile before setting sail and not being rushed.

That is one of the downsides to using the Disney transportation. But I bet it will be a fun trip with the other cruising passengers. We are staying at SSR after the cruise. Hopefully Thursday and Friday (pre Memorial Day) after the cruise will not be too crazy at WDW. Although if it is we will just hang out at the resort and enjoy all the beautiful surroundings.

I think DH is starting to get excited about the cruise. He was asking when we are going to get our documents. I told him we could do all the paperwork on line but I think he likes getting the documents in the mail. Of course it will probably be another week or so before they get mailed out, then it will be time to stalk the UPS man.

Cool, See you on the bus...At least I know we won't be the only two meandering on board that late. :thumbsup2

Since we never stayed at VB we thought we would stay two nights there, and then one additional night at SSR the night before we..<sniffle> fly home...

We're doing a post cruise trip also. We're staying at OKW until Memorial day. Our passes are up at the same time, so there's another big expense in addition to the cruise.

So, so far it looks like everyone is getting to the terminal later, & no one is staying at Port Canaveral before the cruise? :sad1: We'll be staying post cruise @ POR until Sat. & then home to Clearwater.:sad1: We'll be getting to the terminal around 10:00 & like we've done in past cruises be some of the first ones on board. As Melissa said, I like to be on board early to be able to relax getting our lunch & enjoying the ship before a lot of people have boarded:banana: :cool1: Anyway, hopefully some of us will be able to meet each other while sailing.:thumbsup2

We will be stying at POFQ before. This is our first time and we are also using Disney transportation. I have no idea what time we will be getting to Port Canaveral..:confused3

We will be at the Contemporary for two nights before. We are using a town car for transfers. Our pick-up time is 9:30am, so I hope to be at the port by 11am (I guess it doesn't take more than 90 minutes to get there).

Since we did on-line check-in, does that mean we won't receive final documents in the mail?

It is usually about a 45 min to an hour drive from WDW to the Port so you should be there well before they start boarding. When we cruised last September we did the on line check in and still received documents in the mail. I hope to be at the port around 10am, so we will need to get up early Sunday morning and get on the road. (Like I'm going to be able to sleep Saturday night anyways!!)

Wow, thanks for the quick reply!!

I was hoping to get to port early just to take in the whole experience!!

I am really starting to get excited. Today I am going to start my packing list and taking inventory of what I need to buy.

I have two boys, ages 7 and 4. I think my older one will go into the lab since we are sailing a month before he turns 8. We looked at the past Navigators and it looks like he would like those activities more.

Does anyone have children around the same ages traveling with them? I know my sons are looking forward to making new friends!

My DD will be 3 months away from her 8th birthday, so I don't think she'll be able to move up and be with him. But I doubt your son will have any problems making friends. Our other DD is only 1 and will be in Flounders.

I have a 4yr old daughter (5 in July) ! My other two children are a bit older 9 & 11. Jena (4yr old) loves boys!:thumbsup2

WOW - 3 weeks from today I hope to be standing in front of the Mickey Ears waiting to board the Wonder. Dh asked yesterday if I needed any clothes for the cruise. I probably don't, but if he is offering a shopping trip who I am to disappoint him.:rotfl2:

We will have 6 yr old granddaughter and 3 year old grandson traveling with us. Just bought my granddaughter some "sparkle" shoes to wear with her princess dresses for dinner. I'm sure it won't be long and she will not want to do this. Told my grandson we would go shopping this week to see if we could find him an outfit for pirate night.

Time to start thinking about getting those suitcases out and getting some packing done.

I tried to find sundresses for myself to pack today, and I only have one. So I guess I have to go shopping. I am starting a list of all the things I need to buy like diapers, fabric markers, etc.. I sure don't want to pay Disney prices for baby stuff.

At least with it being so busy, the time should go by fast. What type of recital is your DD doing? My DD and I both dance and we have a recital the day before the cruise. With the end of school and recital practice, I'm trying to get prepared now so I don't forget anything for the cruise. My DD will probably be in the kids club with yours, since they are the same age.

My daughter dances at Suncoast Academy on Curlew. She is in Jazz this year.. Yes our daughters will be in the club together. .. and I am also getting stuff ready now for the cruise.. I also have a DS5 who will be in club too. I was just trying stuff on last night to figure out what to pack... Have you been on the disney cruise before?:yay: :yay:

We go to Suncoast Dance Academy in St. Pete. Do you have a teacher at yours named Angela? She teaches at ours and another Suncoast (I think yours) and is in my tap class.

We have been on the cruise once before. DD loved the kids area. If your DD has an email, maybe they can contact each other ahead of time so they each have a friend on the "inside."

wow....what a small world.. my daughters teacher is Mrs Angela!!!!!!! I had no idea she taught at another suncoast!!! My daughter does not have an email.. but you can use mine.. I'll send it to you in a pm.... she is home sick to today... so give us a few days for her to respond..:) :)
