It's my understanding that they removed the buffet table in Parrot Cay when they transformed it to Tiana's. And lunch on embarkation day is no longer being served there.I believe Tritons serves lunch on the Wonder but I checked the navigator from a couple of weeks ago on the 7 day departing from Galveston and there was no dining room listed as open for lunch on embarkation day.
On embarkation day?Table service lunch was in Triton's on the Dec 30th sailing. We enjoyed it!![]()
Yes, Dec 30th was my embarkation day and we ate lunch there that day. Sorry, wasn't very clear! On embarkation day?
I know Triton's does table service lunch on all other days, but I don't think it's usually on embarkation day.

In the past we've gone to Wavebands for dining changes. Then may I ask you where they did the dining changes? That's usually in Triton's, right?
In the Promenade Lounge. They did the alcohol tasting sign-ups at the bar, and off to the other side of the stage - they had the dining request CMs stationed at the little tables by the long booth that flanks the toddler play area. I confirmed an allergy was noted for our table, and that we had a private table for my family. It was all pretty convenient, I have to say - lunch, mixology sign-up, and dining notes confirmed all right there in the same area of the ship! Then may I ask you where they did the dining changes? Table service only. It was a good range of options, though. I had a vegetarian pasta dish, the other adults in my group had a beef roast of some sort, I know there was a caesar salad with chicken (b/c that was what my dad was going to order before he saw the beef at a neighboring table), pretty sure I remember a mufalatta sandwich, definitely more that I'm not remembering off the top of my head... seemed to cover all the bases. The kids menu had mac n cheese and mini-burgers for sure, b/c that was the first of many, many of those that my children ordered! Was Triton's table service the day you boarded? Or buffet?
I didn't think so. Maybe 1/4 full when we were seated, a bit over 1/2 full when we left. Even though you got on the ship right there, I think most people just walked away from that area immediately. They were only seating from the hallway entrance near Promenade, not from the fancier entrance with the stairs, so perhaps it wasn't obvious to everyone that it was open for lunch. I had planned to avoid Cabanas that day b/c of DH's dietary restrictions, so I did make a point of seeing what restaurant was open, which others might not. Especially considering the comparative ease of handling DH's allergy vs later Cabanas lunches, it was a very pleasant first meal.Thanks. Very interesting. I've never seen Disney do a menu service the first day. Was it very crowded?
