Wonder - January 21, 2011 The Cruise To Nowhere In Particular..

Is anyone else feeling this warm weather is a little bittersweet? Oh if it will just last!
I'm not worried though....our last cruise was during Florida's record low temps and my kids still enjoyed the pools. Can't wait!

Maybe a little but I'm sure we all have a great time regardless of the weather. See ya on board in less than a week.

I am new to all of this. Going on our first Disney cruise 1/21/11... I am just joining in here for the Jan 21 cruise. Am I too late to particpate in the FE activity? Thanks Caroline

Welcome Caroline. I'm not sure about the FE. I think some of the participants are already on the Wonder doing the PC. I'm not doing it, I really didn't have the time for it this time (too close to the holidays)

Discuss that with your bride and if you are serious we can mention it to the girls (and make sure Palo appropriate clothing is packed). We didn't book one originally 'cause we just kind of wanted to 'wing it'. But magnifying the birthday festivites with our good pals and fellow birthday girl certainly would be fun! And provided arrangements for expanded party size can be accommodated, of course. Details can be arranged on facebook.

Also, we're staying in San Pedro and won't have a car, but I think the Doubletree has free shuttle service within 5 miles, so if anyone wants to organize a meetup, we can try and be there.

Hi everyone!

I am sorry as I see people are trying to PM me but the connection speed is really slow on the ship. If you would like to do FE...just put it out there..I know some of you are no longer doing the FE and that's fine too.

Ok..some info on dining. It is 1 restaurant - no rotation - no AP show. Same menu in each of the restaurants on the same night (no pirate night - just logistically impossible I guess)

They expect to have the last of us off about 9:30 so loading will not begin until the normal 11:45-noon.

We are and my daughter keeps asking, "where are you going?" "how come we can't come?" oh boy, if she only knew we would never hear the end of it...

We are as well. They know we're going on a cruise, but they don't know it's Disney. We are debating telling them after we get back, but we're not sure we want to deal with the fallout. I'm not sure it would occur to my dd9 that there are other cruise lines, so she probably assumes we're on DCL. DD4, OTOH, would be really mad.

The only reason we'd tell them is that we're all going on the April 27th cruise.

We're also really looking forward to some R&R. This will be the first time we have gone away overnight without them since dd9 was born!
